Nestled in a Northside Gold Coast residential building.... I'd say stay away because I want this place all to myself! Incredible eggs Benedicts, hash, pancakes.... the homemade scones will rock your world... please don't go ... they'll be more for me
I am so glad I chose this place for my husband and I to eat before going out. The staff was very friendly and personable! If I lived here, it would be one of my go-to places for a good meal and dessert.
Loved this neighborhood gem! Service was great! Food was awesome and we will come back. The steak and egg was fabulous
Pulled pork and hash browns breakfast is amazing. The chocolate chip pancakes are good too. And they give you a nice serving of real butter!
We ate breakfast here 3 of our 4 days! Only didn't go the first day because we didn't know about it.
Food was amazing. Super fresh, portion size was great and the wait staff was so good. Even the toast was good! I always think that is a true sign if a good breakfast place, when they take the time and care to even have good bread.
The owner is incredible extremely friendly and wants everyone to have a great experience.
If you are in the are this is a must visit spot.
Amazing brunch in the Gold Coast! As a local real estate broker for 17 years there is nothing better than the oldest cafe in the Gold Coast. The staff is very friendly and I have great service every time I go. Their bloody Mary’s and tuna melt are excellent!
I LOVE 3rd Coast Cafe! I have been going here since I moved to the Gold Coast in 1994. There isn't another restaurant like it in Chicago. The food is very fresh, portions generous & reasonably priced! The nightly specials are delicious and include a vegetable, starch, soup or salad. They are $18-$23. Where are you going to get this in the city? They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The servers are very efficient and friendly.
The atmosphere is cozy and cute. It's the kind of place you feel comfortable going with friends or alone with a book. Do yourself a favor and check out 3rd Coast Cafe. Highly recommend!
The food was good, but the drinks were better. Their hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps was the best I've ever had. Enough to make it pepperminty and turn it into an adult beverage, but not so much to make it taste like pure alcohol.
Busy restaurant! We got so lucky to be seated right away!
Servers were friendly!
Our food came pretty quick with big portion! We love our food here. I got stuffed french toast with sourdough, it came with banana and walnuts.
My husband got Polish sausage with egg and hash brown.
Good spot for brunch and price is not pricey! Good price in the nice neighborhood!
