Best pizza I've ever had! The service was great, waiter was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are here for a day and can only eat deep dish here once. 2nd to them is Pequod's
Personally, this is the best deep dish in Chicago. It's the ingredients and the crust. I can't get enough of the crust.
Geno's East Pizza is literally one of the best of the best Chicago style pizza to every exist. I have visited many restaurants around Chicago and I've never been disappointed. It's pretty expensive, but you get what you paid for, because they are decent sized pizzas that are extremely filling. Most people can only eat 1-2 slices before becoming full. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit Geno's if they wanted to legit Chicago pizza experience.
Decided to give this chain a try for its deep dish pizza. It was a beautiful Monday afternoon so I opted for the patio seating which I had all to myself. Parking is typical Chicago street parking so if you don’t get lucky with free parking in the adjoining neighborhood, there is paid street parking options about a block up the street. Be aware of the street parking sides for cleaning and/or street maintenance. I was greeted promptly when I entered and was given the option of indoors or outdoors seating and opted for outdoors. They have a nice size patio with good shade covering. My waitress was very attentive and even went the extra mile to leave a water pitcher out with me since of course the wait to make the pizza is around 30-40 minutes. Everything was perfect! I opted for the small cheese deep dish with a side of garlic breadsticks. Now that know that this spot is just as good as Giordannas, I’ll go with whichever is closest whenever I’m back in the area.
Service was great right in the door! The waiter was friendly and his service was great the entire visit. He made a good point when we sat down that the deep dish takes 45 min to cook which prompted us to get an appetizer. This was a great decision and I highly recommend it if you are getting deep dish. The pizza was astounding as expected.
Great pizza! Limited space and seating, even with the covid times but service is friendly and helpful, clean place, clean bathrooms.
And you will mostly focus on eating instead of taking pictures

Smaller location. Lakeview location 2801 N Lincoln AV Chicago. Outdoor seating optional warmer season. Original Geno's East has three bars many more seating areas. 162 E Superior St, Chicago, IL 60611. Opened in 1966(near Michigan Ave).
Wonderfully comfortable outside seating combined with that fabulous Gino's East deep dish make this place just perfect, so long as the weather is right.
Make sure to get the sausage on your pizza as it's in Patty form!
Classic Chicago spot for deep dish pizza. There's incredible drink specials ($3 PBRs and $4 well drinks), great sides and salads, and a lot of thin crust pizza options for folks who aren't into deep dish.
The guys here were super with our loud out of town family. . The salads and 4 large pizzas were great . Glad the other place we were going couldn't sit us .
Visiting from Texas and we couldn't pick a better place to eat Chicago's famous deep dish! The owners were great! We came in and were immediately greeted with smiling faces. They offered us water and beer samples as we waited for a clear table, which did not take more then five minutes. The spinach sticks were just amazing. We have never had anything like that. The breading on the spinach and mozzarella sticks we very unique and flavorful. Our server came back to check on us and make sure our glasses were full. The owners came multiple times too. They were interested in how our visit here was going and never stopped smiling. I would recommend it to anyone. I cannot forget about how amazing the pizza is. We ordered a 6 slice deep dish the supreme and what can I say except filling and exceptional! Can't wait to come again on our next vacation to Chicago.
Everything I head about this place is true. They make the quintessential Chicago Style pizza. I'm from Detroit and have had Chicago Style pizza from multiple different restaurants over the years. Thus being said, Gino's East is the best! When I'm in Chicago I make a point to get Gino's East Pizza. They never disappoint and I suspect they never will. More than good food, it is an experience you just have to have. Treat yourself, you wont regret it. Even if it takes a while for your pizza to cook.
