Service is great! Their mezcal margaritas are the best! Tacos are good. Mos def recommend going.
I love the food and drinks it's such a cool chill spot. My input tho is the place can use a little more light to be able to the menu a little better but besides that music good and staff are awesome too! Definitely a spot to try and we are definitely regulars �
Big bar in the heart of Wicker Park. Lots of local beers on tap and a friendly staff of bartenders waiting to serve you asap. Come here with friends and family or even coworkers. I would recommend this place for Company outings or Sunday fun day. I will definitely be back here again and again and again.
Don't get me wrong, this place is kind of a dive - and it's great. Food is awesome and inexpensive. Vibes are good with real candles. Burger and tacos are above average and worth stopping by for. Wish I lived closer, stop by if you're in the neighborhood.
I really can't say enough good stuff about Bullhead. I live down the street from here and I go here all the time when I get hungry. The tacos are awesome and very creative, reasonably priced too. On Tuesdays they are all 2 dollars, which is an awesome deal. On Wednesdays their burgers (which are also really really good) are 6 bucks. Every day there is the taco, shot and tallboy deal which you really can't beat. Decent beer selection at reasonable prices. The service can get pretty slow if they are busy, at one visit it took over an hour and a half to get our food which was dissapointing, but most of the time the service is prompt and good. The regular bartender is a SUPER cool and very chill dude. Most of the waitresses are really nice too.
Awesome tacos. Got a sweet potato taco which was very tasty & had an awesome sauce. Also had the fried chicken taco which was good as well. Their salsa has a kick to it and they give you a lot but it is an additional $4- for chips and salsa. Great atmosphere. Cash only up to $20-, over $20- you can use a credit card.
Great specials... The burger is to die for and they have pretty good tacos with very unique flavor combos. Nice dark atmosphere great playlist. The drinks are also awesome but don't ask them to make a cocktail that's not on the menu... My request was denied. The Humboldt mule is my favorite!
Excellent food and really unique taco selection. They have homemade tortillas, which only boots their already great taco offerings. If you want to wet your whistle, the 6 dollar meal goes down smooth. It involves a beer, a shot, and a taco, accounting for about 75% of life's necessities in one fell swoop. They also do have vegetarian options, but remember to bring lots of cash, as they don't take cards!
Bullhead Cantina serves up great tacos all around, but especially has interesting vegetarian options, which you don't see in most places. I've tried them all and I have to say they are really good! My two favorite vegetarian options are the Grilled Sweet Potato and the Roasted Beet. Who would have thought to make tacos out of those root veggies?! This place is known as a hipster taco and whiskey bar, but all are welcomed and they have a great selection of craft beers as well. I first came here for a birthday party and all the tacos were ordered for everyone to try. I have returned several times for the tacos only...

**THIS IS A CASH ONLY BAR!!!** Good bar to grab drinks with friends if you're in the area, not sure that I would travel out of my way to go here. Great friendly staff, cool atmosphere and you can even bring kids (early before night crowd) if you're there to eat. The Smoked Margarita and the Pomegranate Margarita are AWESOME!! The alcohol taste isn't 'strong' in these drinks, but don't be fooled. They are tasty and will creep up on you. They offer plenty of other cocktails and spirits, there's definitely something for everyone.
The food is pretty good. I haven't personally had the tacos, but I heard they are pretty good and they didn't look 'skimpy' on filling when they passed me. They are about $3-$4 each depending on what you get. I had the chicken sandwich which was pretty good and it came with fries ($8). If you're looking for big thick pub burgers and sandwiches, this isn't the place. The food was really good though and I would only eat there if I got hungry while drinking there, but I wouldn't go there just to eat. But then again, see for yourself. I'm a 'spoiled' American that LOVES huge portions.
$6 for tallboy, taco, and whiskey shot? Yes, please. They have different drink specials everyday, but we were lucky enough to make it for $6 margaritas (offered friday&sunday). We had the pomegranate margarita, though it tasted more like pink lemonade, it was so refreshing. I didn't get a chance to order food (I had just had dinner) but my party said the tacos were really good, along with the guac. Relaxed ambiance, digital jukebox, though not very diverse, it was a welcoming environment.
This place is a Humboldt Park gem! As my first check in in Humboldt Park, this area is impressing me already. They have great daily specials on drinks that are worth getting. $5 cocktails (including margaritas) on Fridays?! If I worked/lived closer, I would be guzzling a couple. The margaritas are strong and delicious - they actually make the sours in house every morning which is pretty impressive considering many places use an easy mix as their quick fix. They have a variety of tacos and other dishes, but sadly the portion sizes are small. I would suggest about 3-4 tacos per person. Best deal at this establishment: $6 for a tall boy, shot, and taco. Sign me up!
