This is probably my favorite Mexican spot in south loop. Just walking in, I love the vibe, the staff that greeted us and the various seating selections. We started off with non alcoholic beverages. Our server was amazing and the refills were on point. They're lemonades are pretty good. But let's get into the important matter at hand. The FOOD!!!!! For starters we had the short rib nachos, (which for one person is a meal in itself). OMG! These babies will change your life. So good, so fresh, I'm craving them as I write this. The guac, the cheese sauce at the bottom, the tenderness of the short ribs in every bite. Goodness gracious. After that I was literally using my fork to pick the remnants at the bottom of the bowl... that good. We got the steak tacos, the shrimp & calamari tacos & chicken tacos. Save your coins on the shrimp & calamari... trust me. It was bland compared to the flavors of everything else. I was actually disappointed. It took a lot of sauce to take it down. The steak takes however, impeccable that blueberry jam is genius. Don't take me word for it. Just go see for yourself. I'd also advise going during their happy hours, it's kinda pricey for tacos in the city. Enjoy!

First time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We arrived around 4:30, a little early, but that was ok. Loved the seating and the open windows to the street. We were able to take advantage of the happy hour food and drink specials. The tacos were AMAZING! Loved the skirt steak with the blackberry morita jam. So yummy! Their guacamole is on point! Everything there felt fresh and not processed. The food came really quick! My only negative is it was a little pricey, but I would still go in a heartbeat and would recommend to friends visiting the city.

Great atmosphere. A clear love for food displayed but the kitchen staff, the chef, Daniel, even came out to speak to us and great drinks on behalf of the bar staff. Would highly recommend as the menu gives a great twist on traditional Mexican food entrees. Will definitely return for the Al Pastor tacos, Pork chops and Rice Pudding!

Overall not to much different looking than the old establishment however the slight changes made due make it look trendy. The service was excellent but the menu is very minimal. Hope they add onto the menu. Serving sizes are very very small. From the chips and guacamole, (they will give you more chips if you ask), to the tacos. I have heard of small plates but these are Very Small Plates, but no doubt, very tasty as well as the drinks are tasty.

Great food. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my quesadilla, prolly one of the best 'Dillas I've had. Check it out! Bring Steve Brule.

A great addition to the south loop! The decor is trendy and cozy. The staff is extremely friendly. The menu is very simple, but all of the dishes we had were excellent. We are looking forward to them expanding the beer options in the near future. All in all, it is a great place to grab and bite to eat and drink in the South loop!

We really enjoyed our food (shared taco platter) and the palomas were also tasty. Waitress was very attentive and nice. Prices were reasonable. A good addition to the neighborhood and we will definitely be coming back soon!

Nice outdoor seating experience, with views of downtown. The inside is beautifully decorated with a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and hospitable. Kyle, the manager, treated us as if we were someone special. He made us feel special. Great job! The food was very good. This is not your traditional mexican cuisine. It has the mexican food foundation with a modern twist. I had the Pollo Loco quesadilla's. No complaints there. Their house salsa is awesome and they should consider selling it by the jar. I also recommend the elotes and churro's! Food items are a la' carte, which is not a deal breaker for me, but it may be for some. I thought the pricing was reasonable. We were very pleased with Lobo Rey, Kyle, the manager and Ceasar. We will definitely be return customers. Here's to seeing you next time, cheers!

Just got back from eating dinner here! Ordered their margarita it's the first drink listed on the cocktail menu. It was great! Not super sweet, you can definitely tell that there is tequila and it's not watered down. Had chips and guacamole. I do not like guacamole but I loved their guacamole! Great chips too. I ordered the tostada of the day which was a shrimp tostada with a mango Pico de gallo, it was great and had a chipotle cream sauce on it too to give it a nice little kick. I also ordered the tacos al pastor which was also excellent. It was 2 tacos stuffed with pork pineapple and onion. Just for reference the 2 dishes I ordered were technically appetizers. My husband ordered the Alambre (spelling?) dish. I had some of his too and omg!!! So good, made me wish I had ordered that as well. We will have to come back. These were probably the best corn tortillas I've ever had. They are made in house. We made a reservation but I'm not sure that we really needed one. This place is large. They have a spot for outdoor seating but didn't have it available tonight. They have 2 bars one is large and the other is a smaller one. They have another area of the restaurant that looks like it's set up as community tables or another bar area that's not actually a bar. Super cute place. Super yummy place. I would say it's not the typical gourmet Mexican restaurant it's definitely unique. One bit of advice for them would be to put the menu online. We almost didn't come here because we couldn't find a menu online. Luckily someone too a picture of it and posted it in the photo section on yelp.

Was pleasantly surprised with the decor and quality of the food. Loved the atmosphere and our server was very nice. Noise level was high but it was very busy on an early Friday evening. I will definitely be going back!
