Tokyo is our favorite nearby Sushi place! We go to a lot of Sushi places in town and this place is on par with some of the best. They may not offer you a hot wash cloth, but their Sushi is some of the best! Thursday is half price Sushi night. We are regulars!
For $10, you can't beat the "Sushi Lunch" obento-style plate for lunch. I recommend going on a Monday, as that seems to be when they get their stock in. Beware the manager though, she's unfriendly and frequently takes tips away from the waitstaff.
Love!. This restrutraunt is my all time favorite. I've been coming here over 8 years! Since I was a teen with my family. And now with a family of my own. This place has become a birthday tradition in my household, and I recommend it to everyone who wants fantastic hibachi!
Great place to eat. Thursday night is half price sushi. The sushi was really good. Lots of food for the price.
Ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice. The food was fresh, and wonderfully prepared. Portions were good as well! Will for sure stop back next time I'm in town.
This place Rocks. I discovered Tokyo a few years ago and have never been disappointed with the food. The service can sometimes be over the top, with the occasional moment of (ITS GOOD NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!!!) For the most part this is one of the best sushi places in Cincinnati. The best part about it has good prices, its never busy, and the quality is there. I sense the reason this place stays open is because of the loyal customers like me that continue to go there.
Pleasant staff great sashimi
Stopped by for a quick Tuesday night dinner, 7pm. My daughter ordered chicken fried rice, which was very good and not overcooked. I had the sushi dinner which consisted of one tuna roll and 7 pieces nigiri. Well-prepared, but a bit disappointed that it did not come with miso soup or ginger salad at that price point. Courteous, prompt service. I'd give Tokyo a B+ tonight, and would likely visit again if in the neighborhood.
Wow! What a completely surprising pleasant experience. Prompt, friendly service and fantastic sushi rolls! Easily our new favorite Sushi joint in Cincinnati.
Shh! Keep it a secret!. Ditto the other reviewer, don't go here! ;) I really, really like this place and will be bummed if it gets crazy busy!
Great sushi, great prices. Much better than some of the other places in town. Half price on Thursdays! Don't let the outside scare you away- this place is a hidden gem!! Can't wait to go back again SOON!
Excellent experience eating here this evening! My servers were pleasant and cordial and the food was phenomenal! I loved their selection of sushi and sashimi that came with the sushi, sashimi, and tempura combo! The chef's choice was on point and I might have even found a new favorite fish (white tuna)! It was a delight to dine here and I would absolutely recommend it to all my friends and family!
First time at the location. Super nice and responsive staff. Sushi was excellent. My co worker and I did the lunch all you can eat sushi. Pricey $$ but if you are a sushi fan it’s a unbelievable deal. Order 2 rolls at a time don’t go crazy and order 5 or 6 at a time like we did. You have to finish your order before you can order more. Hungry for sushi? This is the place to go!
Korean noodle soup is delicious! I've enjoyed everything I've tried and plenty more left to try! It's been 10 months and I'm still pleased every time I order from this establishment. I recently got sushi for the office, it was tasty, beautiful and everyone loved it!
Great value for the food you receive. Positive, joyful service. Great apps at surprisingly low prices! Enjoyed our meal.
Staff work hard to deal with all the orders; the sushi is really good! I would recommend the warm rolls. The Katsu Don is really good too! The beef and noodle soup was okay. The beef was tender and the noodles had flavor but it seemed to lack something.
Admittedly, I only sit at the sushi bar here and cannot speak for the hibachi, however I am very impressed with the sushi this hidden gem offers. Excellent dishes and sushi chefs, and a cool little family owned place. I ordered the dancing tuna (photo) and just a couple standard tuna and salmon rolls, but they were excellent.
That said not super fancy and the building could be spruced up a bit with some needed updates, so maybe go elsewhere for a date night. But for a business traveler eating alone all I care about is if the food is good.

I had the Hibachi fried rice with Chicken and Scallops, which was very delicious. The miso soup wasn't good, it tasted like I was eating flowers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free parking on site. I would go back here again but, I wouldn't order the miso soup.
If you want a slice Japan in Cincinnati, this is the place to go. I have so many fond memories over the years eating here. The portions are sizable, and the taste is always on point. We mostly eat sushi and order form the menu. Quality is excellent. Thank you Tokyo for consistently wonderful .
Wonderful place, delicious food! Very accommodating and kind to my toddler.
Very nice friendly service. Great food only saw stairs coming it but it was dark and late. Coming in late we still had a great meal for a some what reasonable price for a Hibachi Style Japanese/Chinese Restaurant.
