The veg Pad Thai might look anemic at first glance, with pale sauce void of brown soy, but between the noodles it packs a powerhouse of flavors from sweet onion to spicy pepper. Could use a touch more vegetables for my preference, but overall satisfying and would order it again. The restaurant does a brisk carryout business, and if you're not in love with the unassuming dining room, you can enjoy the food in your own surroundings.
Convenient, cheap, and clean, this place was a welcome discovery in Downtown. The owner took my carryout order in a courteous and professional manner, then proceeded to fill it in less than ten minutes. I got Buddah's Delight and hot and sour soup; the main dish had huge chunks of tofu dressed with the right amount of sauce and vegetables, while the soup was blazing hot and very fresh tasting. I'll certainly be back.
Good value for money. Not a fancy place, but food is closer to authentic Asian than other more Asian American places. The people who run the store are Chinese - so you can practice your Mandarin if you wish.
Kung Pao Beef is good. You can also try the Pad Thai. They accept credit cards now (Visa and MasterCard).
The place gets busy lunch time, but dinner time it's usually not crowded
