Best place I’ve eaten in a while.. delicious authentic Puerto Rican food and the staff is courteous and kind!! they are the best
Excellent food. Tiny family place. I had mofongo (mash plantain w garlic) with shrimp in garlic butter, $12.00.
That roll is (don't recall name of it) $2.50, the outside is green bananas and plantain mashed together to make a "dough", filled with delicious shredded meat (owner said pork, waitress said beef), then deep fried (not oven).

4 or 5 small tables. Carryout. Told me they do pig roast in back on weekends.
Food was good. Service was good as well. Seems like the owner is a great administrator, he even put on the table dessert for free but the attentions or service slow down as the co-owner arrived. Music went off and everyone else disappeared. Mofongo was tasty!

New owner/managment that's a plus, haven't been here in years they were well known for Bistec encebollao & tostones con ajillo, beefsteak with onions & fried plantains with garlic sauce. They changed owners & it went down hill.
Since new management I decided to get an alcapurria which is a stuffed green banana fritter & an empanadilla or empanada. To my surprise I can tell the dough is homemade not that frozen Goya discs like other restaurants in CLE use, I got the chicken very crispy dough with a flavorful chicken filling & the alcapurria was filled with pork meat which wasn't dry, very moist well seasoned which I haven't had since my aunt stopped making them, a filling that's not used here in CLE every place I've gotten used ground beef, I will definitely go back again since it's about 2 blocks away, way to go El Taino I wish you much success.... •••BUEN PROVECHO•••
Amazing food, amazing people. I got this for only $10.50! I cannot recommend this place enough!
We went in a small group. The owner is so very nice. It was very clean and welcoming. The plates were nicely portioned and at a reasonableprice. We sampled each other's plates. All the food was AMAZING!! We all tried flan for the first time and can't believe how good it was. The owner told us he was expanding his menu a little since construction was done on street. We will definitely be back!!

I loved the white rice, beans, roast chicken and potato salad Chef Joe prepared for me and my son Christopher. Its was absolutely delicious! He even dressed up the dinner with an ONION DESIGN Chef Joe prepared in front of our own eyes and with grace and style. We love Chef Joe, absolutely talented and creative. Food... deliciosa!
Traveled from Columbus,OH looking for puertorrican food and this place did not disappoint!! Ordered the bistec encebollado and it was simply the best I’ve had since I moved from Puerto Rico. Service was superb, the owner was very kind and made me feel like home. I will definitely be coming back!!
So far, is the best Puerto Rican food in town. Price is great and good customer service. Is like going to "abuela's" house, the star is missing because issues with schedule. Once they fix it, I'll gladly give it.
