The Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger is a rectangular beef patty topped with crispy bacon crumbles, avocado, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion... and it is INCREDIBLE! We went to Mesquite Street Pizza & Pasta Company, fully intending to try the pizza. I mean, you go to a pizza place for that, right? But we're always open to suggestions, so we let the waitress know it was our first time there and asked for her recommendation. She told us about this burger.
It's funny - we've tried quite a few burgers and wonder why some places struggle to keep them juicy. This was not a question that ever formed here... it was juicy and delicious! The ingredients were fresh and perfect - not a mealy spot on the tomatoes, nor a brown blemish on the avocado. Even the red onions were perfectly crisp, sweet, and didn't scald your senses. Such a great combination of flavors and all on a soft, sweet bun. Killer sandwich!
For sides, we tried the onion rings and the fries. Both were good, but the fries were seasoned in a way that made you want to devote yourself to a plate of them.
Crumbling the bacon on the burger seemed like an interesting choice until you realize the reason... it's easy to bite in to! You're not having to tear through bacon. The cheese melted over the bacon held it onto the beef patty and they definitely did NOT skimp out on the bacon.
You really just can't go wrong with this burger - it was perfect! We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu, but if you're like us and it's your first time heading over there, yeah... give that burger a go!

Love this place!!!. My favorite lunch destination. I'm there at least twice a week. Love the food. Also love the comedy shows. Great staff and food

Disappointed. My husband and I just ordered carry out, including an order of the garlic knots. I ordered them on a whim because the carry out menu we took with us after another visit listed them as $2.95. Well, imagine our surprise at being charged $7.95. I just checked the price on the menu pictured here and it also says $2.95. Hoping they clarify their pricing, especially since $8 is a bit much for six pieces of dough. The test of our food was ok, but wasn't as good as previous visits.
LOVE this place! Went for dinner and the food was amazing! Felt like a pizza spot I went to in New York. The owner was so friendly. Ask for the Diablo fries(off menu) and get the "Sal's Lasagna" pizza. To. Die. For.
Love this place! High quality ingredients, fantastic atmosphere. Sometimes the pizza is undercooked, be sure to ask for pizza "well done." I wish they sold bottles of their house chianti vinaigrette salad dressing
Loved the pizza and brandon the owner is awesome. We lived this place it's always great when we go , service is great and brandon the owner is the best guy you could ever meet , the comedy on the weekends is a must thank you so much for bringing this place to corpus
Absolutely love it!. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is friendly. The stuffed mozzarella appetizer is so delicious. Italian bread stuffed with tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella then topped with their amazing alfredo sauce!! Not to mention their flavorful homemade lasagna. I've been here several times and will continue to. Thanks Mesquite St Pizzeria for making my stomach happy!
Great place for pizza and drinks within walking distance of our hotel. My wife and I shared a wild concoction, a big red margarita, a margarita with a bottle of big red turned upside down in it. Sounded wierd to both of us but after the first sip we were hooked. We shared a giant 4 meatball appetizer which was very good. I did all I could to devour half of a joe's meat lover pizza, we ate all the meat off of the remainder of the pie slices. They're decorated up for halloween, this place made us feel like regulars. Nice people and great food and tasty wierd drinks. I had to buy one of their t shirts with legalize marinara across the front. We'll be back.
The drinks, the food, the waitress, everything was great. Especially the drinks and food. We will make this a regular stop when we go visit the coast.
Outstanding pizza 🍕
We got here late at night, so the hostess pointed out that they were only serving pizza at that point, which was what we wanted anyways. The place looks like a hike in the wall, but service was pretty good. We ordered a pepperoni and and mushroom pizza and it was awesome. I will always remember it as one of the best pizzas ever. I must mention though that the prices are actually quite high.
Had given up on finding Chicago style pizza (not deep dish, real Chicago style) in Texas and came across this place by chance. Didn’t expect much but when I saw the pizza by the slice it had a familiar look so I had to try it. I don’t like pepperoni but I ate the whole slice. Best pizza I’ve had in Texas. Plus the $10 burger and fries lunch special was well worth the price.
Came here for the first time, it was recommended by a friend & the hubby & I decided to give it a try for date night. Ralph helped us, an the experience with him was very good. He gave us recommendations, joked around and was very friendly. He provided really good service.Overall we enjoyed drinks, food & atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
Awesome place. Got there right before they got busy. Server was great. Friendly, funny, and efficient. Ordered way too much food, but everything was perfectly prepared and served piping hot. Can’t wait to come back to Corpus to eat here again.
I would come back to this place. I visited a city called Corpus Christi, Texas and wanted to try some pizza. From google I went to their website and placed an order. They accept Apple Pay making it super easy. Then I get notifications which I love considering some places tell you a time and fall short making you wait. The crust tasted like butter and the sauce had flavor. Toppings were balanced and the pizza was cooked and not burnt in some areas with a doughy middle. The BBQ wings tasted amazing with no need to dip in a sauce. I still asked for ranch and it looked home made. The final touch was the empty pizza box … gave it a little character. Bon appetite!

My family and I had a lot of fun here. We are just visiting from San Antonio. Looked up a place to get some food and found this place online. Didn’t know what to expect but the food was delicious and to our surprise, they had an open mic stand up Comedy set going on. It was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place if you are in corpus and looking for a cool place to eat and hang out.
1st visit, won’t be last. Met with host as soon as we walked in. Immediately seated, He communicates that it would be a little bit before our server would be with us, thank you for that.
Atmosphere was very good and music selection was in line with the latter. Server was very nice and patient and explained a lot.
Food time and temperature were acceptable…Pie’s were fresh out of the oven so had to do the blowy blowy, but the taste was amazing. Had the build your own 18” with Double Pep and 12” Mozzarella stick pie. Gonna have to try that Hot Cheeto pie next visit.
