The food was flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The portions are big and the price is affordable. The seating was cozy but not clustered. This is great location for a family dinner or just a meal for myself. I will definitely be coming back.

Edit... came back again the next night for a second run. Again, the staff is as welcoming as the food is delicious. This time we saved room for tiramisu and cannoli...WOW. Vacation calories don't count... right? Seriously, go give these guys your business.
5 stars aren't nearly enough. This place is FANTASTIC! Susan and the team took great care of us. It's hard to say which we enjoyed more, the food or the hospitality. Both were excellent and both made for an unforgettable experience that we were not expecting.
After a long day at the beach, shopping, exploring, etc. my family was just looking for a quick pizza when we stumbled onto their reviews and gave it a shot. Susan pointed to the lasagna as a specialty of the house... ✔️. We added two pizzas; half cheese/half pineapple, and a chicken, mushroom, spinach with Alfredo sauce. Can't forget the calamari appetizer that got the party started.
The calamari was really well seasoned and crispy. The lasagna was definitely the star player; robust meat sauce, cheesy, and generously portioned. The pizzas were large with lots of great toppings. The crust was a little more bready than I normally like, but that's just a personal preference. No disappointments here... Everything was super delicious! (We didn't have room for dessert, but those looked awesome too! Cannoli, anyone? )
Dont be deceived by the exterior. This is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place. Walking in, you are immediately met with a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere. Spacious dining room and a great bar. Live music was featured on the night we were there.
We left stuffed, happy, and feeling like we made a treasured discovery that we hope to visit again and again. I completely and absolutely recommend Island Italian!
Waitress was very nice. I ordered the shrimp po'boy with crispy fries. My husband ordered the rueben with crispy fries. The po'boy was delicious. The sauce on it added a little something to it. The sandwich could actually do without the cheddar cheese. The fries were done perfectly. My husband's rueben was delicious. I never eat them, and liked the taste I had enough, that I would order it. Looking forward to trying other things there.
Ended up trying this restaurant a little different from normal Italian restaurants but was comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful food was good and but was heavy on certain spices overall enjoyed.
Definitely learned not to judge a book by it cover 🧐....from the moment we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and seated😊. I am glad we tried it the food was wonderfully flavored, scrumptious and very fulfilling🤤😁🤤😁. We well definitely be going back (probably every time I go for my mani/Pedi, since they are conviently located across the street 😉) to try more off the menu. The waitress was very attentive and even left us with a souvenir from the beach ⛱️ a shell she picked and painted herself. They are absolutely adorable and it was a very nice gesture 😊
Our first time dining here. Our waitress, Jolanta gave us the best customer service and some great recommendations . Our appetizer, salads and entrees were so delicious. Definitely making Island Italian one of our go to spots.
Came in again this last Saturday night (last here in May) and had a great time. Outstanding service- The food was awesome-I had the lasagna and my daughter had the chicken alfredo. The calamari was exceptional, possibly best i ever had. Had some live music and the longhorn /Alabama game was playing on the TV. I can't wait to come back. This place is my favorite spot in Padre.
It is tasty food if you like cheesy Italian food. Well served dishes. Fast service. Can accommodate big groups. It's just too cheesy for my taste. I ordered eggplant Parmesan, it wasn't terrible but seemed like if it was a pre frozen eggplant.
SAUSAGE was really delicious and a little kick to it. Highly recommend that
We love Island Italian! Super friendly service, and live music often as well! The sausage has a bit of kick, which we love! Portions are very generous and it a local favorite! Lasagna never makes it home as a take away because we find a way to savor every bite!
Don’t sleep on this place. From the outside I won’t lie it looks deceiving. The second you walk in you think it’s just a dive bar, but once you are seated and get your food that when the magic happens. Everything tasted so fresh. The pastas, the seafood, the meatballs! It was all so delicious. My 6 year old had his ravioli’s eaten in 5 minutes. It really is good and worth the price!
