The food a couple years ago was phenomenal. Then Covid came and the quality of food in the restaurant dropped. That being said it’s still one of the best places to get breakfast tacos in flour bluff. The salsa isn’t my favorite as it is not spicy and too watery. The corn tortillas are pretty dang good and the chorizo is always good.
Those in the area will know what gem this place is: this review is for the others.

We visited after a brief visit to a local, who recommended their tacos. There was quite a line for the drive through, but luckily we planned to dine-"in".
.
Parking out front, we entered via the chain link gate. This place clearly gets busy, as there was seating for multitudes and standing for even more. We walked up to the unprepossessing order window and studied what to have.
.
I decided on the Brisket taco ("Do you want BBQ sauce" , huh? On a taco?) and a Picaddillo taco, plus unsweet tea. We sat at a picnic table, and the cashier brought us our drinks. A very few minutes later, she brought us tacos.
.
Yeah, they are superb. The tortillas are awesome, and stuffed with almost too much fillings. We also had a few of they salsas in the bag.
.
The brisket was truly top-notch, not too lean and tossed in BBQ sauce. I was surprised to see pickles too. This was like a brisket sandwich, but using a tortilla. The picaddillo taco was equally perfect, filled plentifully with delicious meat and [potatoes] (maybe? It was fantastic)
.
There was nothing about the experience that was at all bad. Really excellent meal.
.
They do have a drive through. When busy, the locals came in to the window and left a few minutes later.
.
If I lived anywhere close, I'd definitely be a regular.
Incredible, authentic home made tasting breakfast tacos. Large enough to satisfy a grown man with just two. Soft thick homemade tortillas, perfect eggs. THICK bacon. HOT temperature wise. Best breakfast tacos I've ever had in my life. Also their home made watermelon juice drink is awesome. Highly recommend, will get this every time I come through Corpus
If you’ve never been to Venezuelal, then try this place out. The food is much better and you dine in an indoor open air establishment exactly like living in Venezuela. It’s a cool place to eat at.
The cashier told us, "we have a lot of clients." No doubt. This is a place that opens real early for the roughnecks and takes its food very seriously.
House-made tortillas are always appreciated, and these were delicious, thick, a tiny bit sour (maybe they use yeast instead of baking powder? Tasted great) and perfectly browned on the outside like a dalmatian.
Different dishes were paired with different kinds of refried beans, which is a great flex for a little take-out joint like this.
Screen porch seating was mostly on a bunch of funky red picnic tables, but there were also a couple truck tailgates that work as high benches? Or counters to eat while standing? I'm not really sure but it was cool.
Overall, I was really charmed and ate really well.
Like the song ought to say, it's "taco time" somewhere.
This is that somewhere.
My #1 taco go-to spot in the Bluff.. tried a Mollejas for the first time here, and it was DELICIOUS!! They cook them perfect, nice & crispy!!! Tortillas are REAL🤤 not that store-brought mess! Best taco spot in CC!
Love going here! Definitely good food and great lemonade. Havent had the chance to try their desserts. Eventually when I come back for another visit
Chorizo & Bean Taco was huge, delicious and hit the spot! We also ordered 1/2# of carnitas… nothing was left!
My favorite spot. Amazing breakfast tacos and anytime tacos. Homemade taco shells, and they're friendly. And i just discovered the watermelon juice - it's fire. Makes me wished i lived in corpus Christi.
I've always loved this place. I used to go there all the time during high school, and now that I'm back in corpus I continue to go. That place has grown and changed so much, but the food and the service has remained as awesome as it has been from the start
