The brisket had just the right amount of smoke.
The sausage with jalapeno ...delish! Not too hot, just right.
The BBQ sauce had mesquity tones and nice syrupy thickness.

If you are in the Corpus Christi,Tx area this is a awesome BBQ place staff is friendly and they don't weigh the meat old school. they also have a salad/veggie bar that comes with your meat plates. so example you order a one/two or three meat plate and you have endless picks on veggie sides and salad. they even have corn bread muffins, you can even just do the veggie sides/salad bar if you don't do the beef. Lots of seating tables or booth,only thing its a place that's open from 11am to 3 pm think closed weekend's. downtown area/near water front area.

Great food, great selection. I recommend getting the side salad. Everything you would expect from a BBQ place. One small tiny issue during the visit, my plate came with sides but I wasn't asked what sides I wanted. Macaroni was behind the counter and never got a chance to try it.

Their beef ribs are the best around. Do not always have these as they sell out, they are that good!
That was the case today so I ordered a 3 meat plate, brisket, sausage and chicken. While the beef ribs are my favorite, my plate today was also very good. The sides are on a big salad bar so you do not choose a few, you can have everything if you want. I like this.
Their coleslaw has apples in it and it’s one of my favorite sides here.

I love going to Howard BBQ, I usually order the spud with chopped beef, it is my favorite. Everytime I go to Corpus Christi, I always go and have my lunch there. The food there is delicious. Also the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
The food is awesome. The service is great, and the people there are top-notch. I broke a few highway laws just to get to Corpus Christi in time to get this BBQ.
