I just had to tell everyone what kind of experience I had. My family frequents this restaurant at least 1-2 times per month. Usually the food is good and the service is ok or good. Today was a real treat! Leslie is by far the best waitress that we have had the pleasure to serve us in a very long time. Our food was delivered timely. It was nice, fresh and hot. Our drinks were never empty, and we never had to ask for refills. Leslie had a smile and a great attitude every time she came over to our table. I spoke with the manager on duty, Ramsey. I told him how great the service was and that Leslie deserved a raise. He said he would speak to his boss about it. We will be back, and next time, we will be inquiring if Leslie has received her well-deserved raise. Times are hard, and the cost of living is so high. We need to pay the people in customers much more than minimum wage. Especially the ones who do their job well. I don't often post, and I rarely ever ask for a manager when I go anywhere. I do believe great employees should be recognized for their skills, and the ones who shine should be lifted up. May God bless you, Leslie and Ramsey. I hope to see you both next time. Thank you for a really great experience. My family and I were really impressed, that includes 2 teenage boys... so that is saying a lot.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at On the Border in Corpus Christi, and I was very impressed with the food and service. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which was excellent. The soup was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the tacos and cheese quesadilla, and he really liked both. The tacos were filled with fresh ingredients, and the quesadilla was crispy and cheesy.
We also tried the Liberita Margarita, which was delicious. The margarita was made with layers of strawberry puree, lime 'rita, and blue curacao, and it was the perfect combination of sweet and tart.
The service at On the Border was also excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to On the Border soon!
Great service and food! Cat was so wonderful and gave us recommendations when we were torn between 2 dishes, and she was very attentive to our needs (never had to ask). The food was the best Tex Mex I've had in a long time (I'm from San Antonio). Definitely worth trying out!!
Had a wonderful time with family. Food was pretty great. Gave it a 4 because my tortillas were pretty uneven and too chewy. Steak was perfect.
Wow. Great food, good portions, and good service. The only negative is the plate may have been a bit to long under heat lamps and dried out the rice. It has been a while since dining at "On the Border" but I sure do miss not having one in my hometown. It was not to busy and the staff was doing good at busing tables. Clean restrooms and military discount!
Cat was incredible! Not only is she an incredible individual, her art is fantastic (ask her about it). Great experience; glad we stopped by!
Great Happy Hour! We have continued to visit this place for happy hour. Added a picture as of December 16, 2022. We tried the firecracker stuffed jalapeño and house margaritas. We also shared a plate of honey chipotle chicken fajitas. Service was good but you could tell they were short handed. We went this past Friday again, again ordered the firecracker stuffed jalapeño, margaritas. We also tried their trio queso, all three bowls had the base cheese dip, they just added red hot sauce to one and green hot sauce to the other. They are running a featured blackberry margarita with a touch of cinnamon in the drink and sugar & cinnamon on the rim. It is a drink to try! Forgot to take a picture of the last drink.
Cat took great care of us after a long day of moving. She helped make good choices when we were too tired to think. Will ask for her next time!
On the Border is one of my family's favorite restaurants. We always have an enjoyable dining experience! Cat was our server and took very good care of our table! She is very attentive and sweet! If Cat is your Server, you will most definitely have an enjoyable dining experience as well!
Had a great family meal. Everyone left full after arriving starving. Cat was our server and she was absolutely amazing! Not only took care of our needs but seemed to predict them. Will definitely be back!
