Finally stopped into this location after passing by numerous times. I am so glad that I did! The food and atmosphere were amazing. This is by far one of the best chicken spots in Texas. The chicken was both crunchy and tasty. The onion rings, although crunchy could have used a bit more flavor, and I am still a bit undecided on the coleslaw. Overall, though, well worth the trip, and I will most like dine in on my next visit
This was my first time to visit the Chicken Shack. It came highly recommended by some of my co-workers. I had a business trip to Corpus Christi so on my way back I gave it a shot. Well, it was as good or better than what my coworkers described!! I had the three-piece nixed with green beans and macaroni and cheese. The food was outstanding, probably the best fried chicken in Corpus Christi. And I can't say enough about the service. The folks here are super nice and the service is awesome! I will definitely visit here again next time I'm in Corpus Christi.
I've eaten here twice and was never disappointed (I am a picky eater) New here from Colorado and I honestly like the chicken shake more than churches and you can get gizzards and liver and those are hard to find they also have fish products the price isn't high at all and the food is Definitely worth it the people are so nice and welcoming 10 out of 10 highly recommend
Great food and service. Onion rings are the best in south Texas! Your choice of biscuit or cornbread, I go with the cornbread every time. However, I wish it wasn’t so expensive so we could eat there more often. But I understand, it is a business. Went by to buy a snack for the road. I tried their fried pickle sticks. But I paid $5 for 4 sticks and a container of ranch. They were good! Breaded with panko and a lot of dill in the batter.
We drove to this little place and were amazed at the quality of food. The chicken was juicy and the coating was crispy. We had homemade onion rings and macaroni and cheese. This place is known for its pies and the apple pie and chocolate buttermilk did not disappoint. It’s on the outskirts of Corpus but worth the drive.

Wonderful down home restaurant to enjoy delicious food & great service!!
The portions are more than satisfying. I'm not a big fried food fan but who doesn't get a craving for some home cooked fried chicken every once-in-a-while. For me, it's fried chicken livers! I had more than enough to take home for lunch the next day!
I had to box more than half my dinner to go to leave room for the chocolate buttermilk pie. I'll be taking a hike to work those calories off but it was well worth it!!
It's a sweet little, down home, family atmosphere kinda place for a great meal!
We thoroughly enjoyed it!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Been going here since they were on Leopard and love their chicken and livers, the mash is rich and the gravy is good too! Here they have fried pickle spears and their ranch is really good they don't give you packets it comes in a little sauce container. So good! Now I need chicken shack asap lol! I don't go too often because it can get pricey however it is worth it when I can!
I love this place! I wish they were open for dinner. The gizzards are great here, I never have tried them for a few years because I don’t see them at many places.Oh and the pie is top tier. Employees are always kind as well.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now. The food is always fresh, always on point. If you like chicken and you haven’t been here, you are missing out!
Good food, great staff. Foods great as well. I've eaten here many times over the past few years. Staff is very attentive. time is usually low. Great lunch specials. Food is always fresh.
