We loved it! The service was great, and the food delicious. We hadn't been there in years but decided have a late dinner last night. We will be back!
Friendly waitress, I recommend the chicken parm, but ask for meat sauce on the spaghetti instead of the marinara

This is for Carino's Italian Restaurant.
Well, this what we call it, anyway. It is all good.
After attending the symphony on Sunday afternoon, while we were still dressed up, we decided to stop by Carino's Italian Restaurant for dinner. Even though Carino's is a national chain, neither of us have eaten before. We heard it was good, so we gave it a shot. We are glad we did!
For the appetizer, we ordered the Sicilian Fire Sticks. Wow! As per the menu: "Tomato-basil tortillas rolled with Italian sausage, chicken, bacon, roma tomatoes, jalapeños and Italian cheeses. Served with spicy marinara and ranch."
My partner ordered the Shredded Beef Pappardelle. As per the menu: "Wide, northern style egg pasta with roast beef, marinated onions, carrots and roma tomatoes and a burgundy tomato cream sauce." He said the burgundy cream sauce set the roast beef apart from anything he had eaten previously.
I ordered the Spicy Romano Chicken. As per the menu: "Bowtie pasta, cayenne pepper, romano cream sauce, mushrooms, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and green onions." It was just a tad spicy for me, but not too overwhelming. Cutting back on the cayenne pepper would make the dish perfect for me. I love bowtie pasta.
We did not feel like drinking anything alcoholic that night since we were driving, so we opted for some Italian sodas. From the menu: "Our original non-alcoholic recipe served with or without cream. Raspberry, Blackberry, Lemon, Orange, Cherry and Vanilla (unlimited refills)" Oh yeah, unlimited refills. He drank the Raspberry and I drank the Cherry. Sure, we looked like kiddies with the fruity drinks, but they were excellent.
Service was good even though they were crowded. Our waiter did his best to keep us happy, but we could tell he was overloaded with tables. We tipped him extra.
The atmosphere was quite festive, as are most national chains. The decor was pleasing and added to the ambiance of the experience.
Prices were OK, but not on the cheap, though. With the quality of food and experience, it was pretty much appropriate. On a university budget, this is a once-a-month treat. If you want to impress a casual date, this is the place.
Carino's is on our list of restaurants to experience again. Yes, we gave it thumbs up!
Seated quickly. Bread and drink order taken immediately by friendly and attentive waitress. Food was hot and delicious. We eat out all over Texas and this is a place I would recommend for anyone who enjoys Italian food and good service!

Mother's day dinner. The server was so sweet and energetic and I'll rate her a 5 star. Great bread and oil. As for the food it could of been better. The Ribeye steak was rubbery and didn't really have any flavor. The lasagna wasn't really great but it was good. The salmon was good. Good atmosphere. Restrooms could of been cleaner.
I’ve been sleeping on this oldie but goody. Honestly haven’t visited since 2005 or so. First time back in years! Wasn’t disappointed. Food was fresh and delicious. Lunch portions were huge! Definitely seated quickly with no wait times. Friendly staff.
The food was good, the company was great and the customer service was excellent from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Kimberly was a great waitress who was informative of the menu and had a good sense of humor. The host that was working that day was also very informative of the menu and very attentive. There was another gentleman who helped bring out the food and cleared dishes from the table promptly. The customer service alone won me over into going back again.
This location of Jonny Carinos has been a favorite of my families for 12+ years.
The menu has only changed slightly.
The bottomless bread is always a hit!
Wait staff is attentive, polite and prompt. We've never had an issue with our meals coming out wrong, which is a definite plus!
Overall, this is an excellent dining experience!
Staff is extremely nice and courteous, made sure our drinks never ran empty. Food was hot and is always delicious. Atmosphere is perfect for family night or even date nights. Management is always exceptional.
I still don’t get it why this restaurant has a bad review. These are the highlight dishes I got from yesterday. The baked stuffed mushroom hits right on spot. The sauce, the mushrooms, the stuffed, they are all so good together. The main dishes I got the fettuccine, it was good but nothing special. My friend got the SIZZLING SKILLETINI® CACCIATORE and it was bomb! Everything in the dish was really detailed, and all of the ingredients in it just make the plate a perfect dish! Will come back to try more for sure!!! 🤝
It was my first time inside, and everything went perfect! Immediately being greeted made the place very welcoming. What really sold it was the Old Fashioned that the bartender Kasi crafted up. She managed to make drinks and be friendly - very talented. It paired with the nachos was perfect. Would definitely recommend checking out.
I don’t normally leave reviews but my recent visit, left me very impressed and I’d like to send out a big shout out to Daniel he did a great job. Food was really great and thankfully the restaurant wasn’t packed like Olive Garden on a Saturday afternoon. We had the pizza cooked to perfection and giant serving of chicken Parmesan and stuff mushrooms. Keep up the great work and thanks on behalf of my family and myself.
Loved it haven't eaten there in years ever since they closed the one in Lake Charles La in 2009

I see all the bad reviews, but I actually had a good experience yesterday. My husband and I did the Dinner for 2 for $49.99. Everything came out fast. It's not my favorite Italian restaurant, but it still has good food. Our waiter Jordan was very attentive and that's something that is hard to find these days. We appreciated him, so we made sure his tip reflected his service.
