Almost too many choices. Great wait staff. Very professional, personable adn efficient Andrea was training Samantha and together they mad an excellent team, They dazzled our table their swift efficient service. This was our first time to La Playa Saratoga, but it surely won't be our last. Kudos to the chef for the many innovative dishes on the menu inn addition to all the old favorite traditional dishes.
Great place with excellent service! We had up to 30 people in my friends rehearsal dinner party & they were able to accommodate all of us. Made a reservation beforehand and our seats were ready when we got there!
Delicious food, as usual, but poor kitchen help. They kept messing up the orders no matter how many times the waitress told them what it was suppose to be. There was also fighting and yelling in the kitchen most of the night.
The ground beef chimichanga is delicious! The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. We ordered the chilli con queso with ground beef as an appetizer and it was a huge serving and delicious. The glasses of chardonnay were generous pours and chilled to the perfect temperature. We love this restaurant and highly recommend it for hungry people!
After a brief hiatus, Livia is back, tasting all the goodness that Corpus Christi has to offer & critically evaluating any & all food placed in front of her. I don't know how she has time to evaluate because all she does is literally "inhale" all the food, lol. She had the Marisco soup & tells me it beyond delicious. It was filled to the brim w seafood chunks. I had Tacos al Carbón & they were also delish! My GF had the steamed seafood, which, as you can see in the pic, was well steamed! & Also tasty. You will be very happy (& full)
I have enjoyed LaPlace food for quite some years now. They warm their hot sauce which is different than most any other Mexican food restaurant I've ever dined at. It also has a wonderfully delectable flavor that is original to them! Sometimes I just want to go for chips and salsa only lol! I gave everything five stars except for service because their service was a little slow. I had to wait an extra 5 minutes just for them to get me my glass of tea that I was supposed to have with my to go order. All the while my food just sitting there getting cold on the bench. It would have been nicer if they already had the drink ready so that I could have just left after waiting 10 minutes to get my check and pay for my check I almost canceled the tea all together just because I wanted to get out of there already so they seem nice enough and everything they just are a little slow
We frequent La Playa. Found this gem, after morning to corpus. Always friendly customer service, the food is amazing and hot everytime. My favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor. Thank you for being so consistent.

This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire staff. From the time our waiter Samantha F greeted and seated us. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items and specials and gave great recommendations on food selections. I ordered the Fajitas with sour cream based on her recommendation and the dish did not disappoint. The meat was excellently seasoned, juicy, and fulfilling. It’s clear Oscar, the cook takes pride in ensuring every plate of food is expertly prepared. I will definitely visit again when I’m in the area and refer my family, friends and coworkers.
Service was prompt and when they say something comes with cheese they darn well mean it... a ton of it! The fajitas are delicious and I would definitely recommend just about anything on the menu from what I saw around me on tables…
Eddie is the best. He always remembers what you normally order, and he never writes anything down!
