I love this place, the rib plate is my favorite meal in addition to the cheese and crackers!!!

This was our very first time eating at Mr. G's Barbeque in Corpus Christi. We are visiting from Universal City and we were showing my brothers family from Chicago, around the area. Based on others reviews and pictures we decided to dine in. Well the gentleman waiting on us, Mr. Daniel Guerra was very polite and attentive to our questions.
The Brisket, sausage, beans and potato salad was made to perfectIon and the sausage is made there. The Brisket was very tasty, moist, and overall cooked very good!Everything was very delicious and well portioned. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with all the vintage store signs. For anyone wanting to give them a try I will highly recommend Mr. G's Barbeque restaurant for overall satisfaction and a hometown feel.
Okaayyy!! Some very good food. The brisket and the ribs tender, juicy and just the right salty. Sausage was unique but very good. Coleslaw was also uniquely sweet and very good. Lost one star on quantity vs price and bland beans. Meat portions a bit skimpy. The beans needed some chopped red onions to add some flavor. But, I will likely come back and buy by the pound.
Still testing the CC area bbq scene (for what it is) and Mr G’s is legit. Don’t miss out - try their smoked Mollejas and when your done, their nanner pudding is 5stars! No one is beating Terry Black or Franklins, but this is the best in CC for sure. This areas ‘q offerings are pretty low quality, not here. Marbled brisket was cooked and fat rendered, rib was meaty with a bite and the mollejas were satisfying treat. I will be back.

Brisket, pork ribs, and chicken. Sausage is the hidden gem. Always good for lunch.
I walked in and was treated like they have known me forever and a day... Daniel was fun, sweet, and energetic... all of the staff that I interacted with, basically everyone, was like your best friend that you were catching up with...
Now the food... never being there I asked Daniel to choose for me... he chose the plate and I split it with my 3 year old... ribs, melted in your mouth... sausage, made there in the back and you could taste the love... brisket, juicy and perfectly seasoned... beans and potato salad, him!
I can't wait to go back!

I love Mr G's BBQ and team! I think the meat is very juicy and prices are fair considering how expensive meat prices are now days. Can't wait to be back in town to have another great meal
