The Cafe At Spohn South

I gave birth to my daughter at 957pm on 9/9/23 and I had really good doctors and nurses. One person however stood out amongst everyone. I would love to send him a thank you but can't locate him but he was the star of the show. My anesthesiologist Luke was absolutely amazing. He was informative and very kind. Even when I puked after delivery during my c section which I felt bad about and apologized. I know I was so sleepy but he was there reassuring me and making sure I was okay. I don't like hospitals but my treatment here was none shy of excellent. I wouldn't give birth anywhere else. Luke definitely needs more recognition, the job he does is not easy.

My daughter had surgery at the Christus Surgical Hospital under the care of Dr. George Fisher from the ENT Associates of Corpus Christi & we absolutely loved it. All staff, nurses & doctors were amazing & were all so loving & caring towards my daughter. They definitely took great care of her from the minute we arrived to the minute we left & treated her as their very own. I, as her mother, was extremely happy & pleased with the care she received & how well they treated her. I was in tears from seeing others love & care for my child as much as I do, as her mother. Will definitely be using this hospital in the future for my other children & would highly recommend it to others as well. We had an amazing first time experience. Thank you all so very much for taking great care of my babygirl ❤️

From Admitting, to Nurses, Staff, Priest and Doctor "Martin", I was in "The Best Hands" and I was not scared due to being well informed about my Surgery. Thank you so much for all ya'll did for me before & during my Surgery. I absolutely Appreciate each one of you. Thank Ya'll! Belinda Rush

My mother was a patient at this hospital. I'm a nurse and I live in Kansas, so I was not able to be with her, but I have to write this review because her stay at this hospital has changed her life. She has had GI issues for over a decade, from chronic nausea to terrible gas pain. Over the years different doctors have had her change her diet, change what time of day she ate, done colonoscopies...she's had LOTS of tests. On this occasion she actually went to the hospital because of kidney issues because she hadn't been drinking enough due to her nausea. The kidney problems got fixed easily enough once she got some IV fluid, but her doctor decided to investigate her GI problems more thoroughly. Dr Lopez Sanchez ran more tests than any other doctor my mother has ever gone to and FOUND THE PROBLEM. My mother had an intestinal parasite that most people's own immune system kill off easily, but for whatever reason, my mother's had not. There is a very specific test you have to run to check for this because it is so rarely an issue in humans. But Dr Lopez Sanchez ran it. Not only that, since its so rarely a problem, it is very difficult to find the medication to treat it. The pharmacist said they hadn't prescribed it in over 10 years. It was finally found in Victoria and special ordered and sent to my mom's pharmacy. My mother hasn't felt this good in years. Literally years. She can eat anything. She doesn't have horrible gas pain or nausea. I wish I could do more to thank Dr Lopez Sanchez. I've never been so happy that my mother had to go to the hospital. Thank you again Dr Lopez Sanchez!

Had a prostate procedure done. At the doctors office everything was fine. When arrived home I found I was unable to urinate. Of course it was after hours and after contacting the after hours person I was advised to visit an emergency caregiver for a catheter. I first visited a local emergency medical care clinic. The staff there were not particularly concerned with my discomfit and seemed to come up with reasons not to remedy my situation. So I departed to Spohn South Emergency Room. Now I know you hear terrible things about hospital emergency rooms. Not Spohn South Emergency. They are caring and professional. They saw me for registration with in 20 minutes and I was in a room less than an hour being treated by 2 nurses. They fixed my problem and I was on my way. I can't praise the Spohn South Emergency Room enough. Thank you so much.
