Really a 4.5. My brother got the all u can eat shrimp which was really good but the salad bar was lacking. The blackened chicken was good but I don't think the salad was really ceasar. Good atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff.
We came for Easter breakfast, first thing at 8 am. The brunch buffet was not open yet so we had to order off the menu. We were the only ones in whole place. Service was good, food was good. Just not great. Nothing local or special on the breakfast menu but everything we ordered was good!
We dined Saturday 10/19/19 around 8pm. The Cajun pasta was delicious! The shrimp po boy and the fries were 100% amazing! Compliments to the chef!!! I would have to say this is one of the best meals I have had on the island. I am really wondering how any why this restaurant would get any low ratings? We plan on coming back here again. I recommend getting the bread pudding for dessert. Delicious! The service we received was top notch and the live band was awesome.
Great food, atmosphere, and music. The meal started with the pomegranate hummus, and loved it even though I'm not a huge hummus fan at all. The green apple salad was crisp and fresh. For the main course I had the prime rib and it was amazing! The horseradish sauce is not too overpowering at all. Would definitely recommend this place, and will be back soon for date night.
A new chef and change in management has really made this a nice restaurant. On a Friday or Saturday evening the service and food has been excellent and there is only a short wait. The restaurant isn't obnoxiously loud like others in the area and the prices are fair for the quality and comfortable atmosphere. I like the fish dishes and steak dishes.
The bar makes good tropical mixed drinks and margaritas and has a good selection of bottled beers. The waitresses and a few college age girls were spinning a wheel for cheap drinks which looked fun. There are 4 TVs usually playing sports inside and a very large covered patio (Veranda) that will have bands and be a lot of fun in the spring and summertime.
I was really surprised by their chef and the kitchen staff. I hope he stays around. Most of the chefs his caliber, or her caliber, have been hired a way to Dallas Houston or San Antonio. I have not been disappointed yet. Or even close to it. Who would have thought such a good restaurant would be in a water park!
Very delicious bottomless pasta bar. The variety of pasta dishes prepared for you were very tasty and flavorful. All staff members were absolutely attentive and friendly! Recommend the restaurant to all visitors and locals alike.
Need a quiet relaxing place for a bite to eat? The Veranda offers a nice variety of menu options from
appetizers and bar treats to a full dinner opportunity. A full bar and a new chef makes it worth while dining experience.
We only had drinks here, but they have an amazing menu of specialty drinks. A little pricey for corpus area. The bartender was very attentive. Music was amazing.
I plan to come here again for breakfast or lunch.
Prices are quite reasonable, lunch cost $12:50 with coffee.
Service was bit slow but staff is friendly and quick to respond to requests.
Other facilities are excellent.
