I was looking for a Sports bar to watch Sunday football and gosh This place was perfect! tons and tons of big screen tvs. The food was fantastic. The bartender was cute and helpful as hell. And I got to hang out and meet some nice folks. Just came back a second time! The burger was PERFECT! Came out medium rare, hot and juicy The fries..FANTASTIC ! Perfectly cooked, crispy, hot and well seasoned. Yep, this place is a must go!
The food was pretty good. My son didn't enjoy his chicken strips at all. It's a very well decorated place. Lots of TV's. Fun atmosphere. Our waitress was a very sweet girl, we just never seen her again after getting our food.
This place was highly recommended by a friend. My first impression was that it was a nice sports bar. The atmosphere was chill with a variety of sports playing on all the televisions. The seafood boil was amazing. We had three in our party and shared the seafood boil. The food was plentiful, and we even had leftovers.
We sat at the bar. Our server/bartender was awesome, her name was Brittany. She was friendly, quick to ask about drinks and menu's. She let my husband sample a couple of the beers so he would know how they taste prior to ordering it. Very helpful. The food we ordered was fantastic. I had the chicken fried chicken with mac ń cheese and grilled zucchini. It was ridiculously good. My husband had a chicken fried steak sandwich and WOW was it good. Everything was fantastic!!!
We sat at the bar and received just the right amount of service. Food was hot and delicious and beers were cold. It was a Monday evening so they had a corn hole competition happening there as well. My only complaint is the loaded mashed potatoes came in a styrofoam dish, it seemed a bit odd and wasteful.
Portions were large and food was good. Wings were juicy, hot and seasoned perfectly. Chicken breast was large and sides were delicious. Shrimp poor boy was a big portion and shrimp was seasoned excellent. The staff was friendly helpful and accommodating.
Hardknocks has every game ever wanted playing- live music selection is unmatched! Rod constantly gives back to the island and local charities! They have fabulous Bloody Mary bar options(tons of mixers, pickles, even crawfish and crispy hot wings!) and they have tons of beer varieties! Daughter loves the gaming area and the open layout is nice! Even when it’s packed you can move about! Chicken fried steaks are massive and the seafood boils during crawfish season are insane!
Great place, food was really good, reasonably priced, service at the bar was excellent two nights in a row.
Visited the Island and had decided to eat here after striking out at other venues. My and my partner ordered the NY Strip and I added two Jumbo fried shrimp and side salad. I thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly cooked steak that was seasoned properly. The panko breaded shrimp blew me away! I wished I had ordered 4-6 and a side salad and asparagus only. Very good food for an affordable price.
I enjoyed their wings and the sampler platter. I think they have the best wings on the island. The service has always been quick and polite. It has, what I consider to be, the ideal South Texas sports bar ambiance. I was also pleased with the prices. A nice place for a quick bite or to hang out and have a few beers.
