Great hidden gem in downtown for the family. Our waitress was attentive and delightful, the food was good and came quick, the diner was clean and the bathroom was spotless. Overall, it had a good vibe and we will definitely be coming back and telling our friends about it.

Great food and even better fries. Had singing lessons right at 7 pm and couldn't be late but the staff was kind enough to speed up our orders and accommodate for me needing to leave. Much appreciated!! Great looking desserts and our waitress was incredibly sweet. And if you get the fruit bowl, you can expect more than just melons and grapes! Over 6 different fruits and they were all fresh, ripe, and bursting with flavour! Definitely will be back soon😁 (P.S. A great place to go to if you are vegan, vegetarian, or have gluten restrictions! So many options and an unbelievable amount of vegan dishes. Perfect for this time and climate of the world!!)

Under the new ownership of this establishment, the revisions they made is a huge upgrade in comparison with the prior proprietor. Moreover, in all honesty the current menu is really good and one can tell they care about what their place serves since all menu items seem to be handled with passion in conjunction with care , considering their made-to-order vision that completely works on all facets . Therefore, I normally order carry out from here but, I dined in yesterday and this place doesn’t disappoint since the service was great! Subsequently, I normally order the Monte Carlo sandwich which is very delicious but, this time I ordered their patty melt which the burger was very tasty and the fries were good just as well. Plus, you also get various choices with regards to the sides they offer; and to top it off a choice of soup or salad . Thus, I decided to try the side salad which was made up of a fresh spring mix that I prefer. Consequently, the standout was their house-made dressing dubbed as the cilantro lime vinaigrette . It was so tasty that I was positively ranting about it with the server and the owner where I told them they should bottle it where I would definitely purchase a case of that delicious loveliness in a NY minute! However, the only negative pertaining to my patty melt that it was overcooked but still good . Overall, my dining experience was a definite plus where even the owner visited my table and she was very hospitable. Furthermore , I work in the restaurant industry in Chicago, and to be quite honest , there is only one other place ( a breakfast joint located on Williams St.) in the downtown area of Crystal Lake that care what they present since they embody high-tier quality. Needless to indicate their prices are economically affordable unlike any of the restaurants that is located near the Crystal Lake Metra Station. In other words ,the current owners of Cafe Olympic are very in tune with concocting a very eclectic fresh ingredient menu, which is why this place stands out among their competitors. Thank you Cafe Olympic , and I will be definitely returning.

We waited 45 minutes for food (for 2 people) which we understand because of low staff. The BLT was amazing. If you have kids and they get a grilled cheese and fries I recommend dipping it in sour cream! (Both the fries and grilled cheese) The bee catchers do give me a bit of anxiety though. Overall it was a great place to sit outside for lunch.
