Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters Crystal Lake

WOW WOW WOW....I walked into CC the Friday before Christmas to purchase some coffee beans to go with my hubby’s Christmas gift of a Ninja coffee maker. A lovely gentleman working there (I forgot his name, sorry) greeted me at the door and asked how he could help me. I told him I was referred to the CC by a friend. This gentleman asked all kinds of questions in order to direct and guide me into the picking out the perfect coffee. He was very passionate about coffee, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He didn’t mind all the questions I had and let me take several pics of all the beans and roasters so I could show my husband just how cool this place is and to show him the roasters and what the beans look like pre-roasted. I was fascinated at the “science” of coffee roasting. I never felt rushed even though the place was hoppin’. Needless to say I left with 2 pounds of different beans and a P.B. Chocolate Mocha. I really did not think I would notice such a difference in the coffee but I surely did. Ever since Christmas, this is all we’ve been drinking and now will only drink coffee from CC. All the staff behind the counter were super friendly and happy. I couldn’t believe I have never been to this hidden gem!!! Such a cute, cozy and hip joint this place is too!!! I wanted to stay and drink my mocha there and unwind for a bit but had LOTS of shopping to still tackle. Thank you all. We will be back very soon and can’t wait!!!!

Been here so many times it's not even healthy. But oh man, does everything taste good! I really like their tumeric ("golden" something-or-other) drink, the one with honey in it, and their (nitro) cold brew. Only two things I'm not so impressed by: Firstly, their frequent customer punch card only gives $2 off on the 10th drink, rather than just a free drink. (I don't know of anyone else around who doesn't just give a free drink.) Secondly, their tiny sandwiches on an English muffin (But honestly, I'd rather they not try to spread themselves thin trying to fix this - I just want them to keep making good coffee. I'm over 6 ft. If I want a sandwich, I'll go somewhere else to get filled up.) Get my point? If those are the two things I'm complaining about, there's really nothing to complain about. This place is perfect for an addict like me.
