Waited for years for the city to start utilizing The Majestic to its full potential and now in the last two years (2016 and 2017), this glorious lady is back and better than ever! The Majestic is no longer a hidden treasure! And performers and artists love her too! Another great reason to work, play, and relax in downtown Dallas! :)
There is a reason this old treasure was Houdini's favorite venue! Before any performance while the stage is still dark you can almost SEE snapshots of different eras in yr mind with all the history it oozes... Great experience at all prev shows I was fortunate enough to catch: Kids In The Hall, Keb Mo, Conan O'Brien <3 it too
The Majestic Theater lives up to its name. It is always a Regal experience inside this theater with Decades of History all around and the architecture and historical imagery really allows you to enjoy an evening in a theater experience. Although the only bathrooms are in the basement everything else is very accommodating and the staff here is always excellent. Going to a show at the Majestic Theater has a special feeling every time.
What a beautiful building! It has a different, but similar vibe to the San Antonio Majestic Theater. I did read up a bit on the history of the building, which is pretty cool.
The drinks were weak and expensive.
Staff were friendly and bathrooms clean.
There is never enough leg room for tall people in these old theaters, and this wasnt an exception. My knees and back were so sore when we left from not being able to move or stretch for 2 hours.
All in all, it was a good experience. I'm glad we made the trip from Austin!
I really loved the venue. Watched Marlon Wayans do his thing. I literally laughed until my stomach hurt. 😂 The seats where crammed. If your tall and the person in front of you is tall, you're in for a long night. Has a crashed velvet seat topping and the seats appeared loose. The rest of the place looks beautiful and has a classic feel and allure to it. Reminds me of the Apollo.
Nice but they should have steps instead of the slanted floor and no cup holders if you serving drinks so you had to hold your drink all night.
It was AMAZING!! OMG, I saw the Cinderella production and oh my heavenly goodness they need Academy Awards for their beautiful gorgeous singing and choreography was on POINT!! The humor was THERE!! IT WAS JUST PERFECT!!
It's a pretty good size, but the seats seem to close together to me. I felt like their wasn't enough elbow room. There honestly is no bad seat in the place. The bathrooms were very clean. I attended a comedy show there and it was great. There is a parking garage extremely close/convenient.
This is a really cool venue. As soon as you walk in, you are struck by all of the beautiful details all around. We saw Lady A in concert, and it was a special experience to see it in such an intimate venue. The only downside is that the seats are very uncomfortable. We were on the balcony, and even my teen mentioned how uncomfortable they were. But other than that, I would highly recommend seeing a show here. There was even very close parking, which was a huge plus.
First time in this prestigious building watching Abraham Alexander for the first time. Thank you for the experience. Great service! Great directional tools/ people. Overall 10 out of 10
A beautiful theater! Chairs are decently comfy, but you're pretty squashed in like most theaters. Clean bathrooms though!
We love shows at the Historic Majestic Theater. Great sound, intimate atmosphere, and all around great venue. In last 100 days we have seen Marcus Mumford & Blue October. We were there last night and can’t wait to return!
