A wonderful family restaurant with welcoming staff, warm atmosphere, and a menu full of rewarding classics that will keep you coming back. Respectful and responsive management, courteous staff, and consistently wonderful kitchen. Note: they have wonderful gluten free pasta

This was the first time I've ever went to one of these establishments. I must say the service and other staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. It has a very cozy feel to it. I had a Cesar salad and the Lasagna. Both were definitely fantastic and the portion size was perfect for lunch. I will be going back for sure and letting others know as well.

We dropped her daughter off at SMU last week, and we all went to Penne Pomodoro and had gluten-free pizza and gluten-free pasta followed up by an espresso & cappuccino. We just spent 2 weeks in Italy with AMAZING food & were ready to be disappointed, but Penne Pomodoro was wonderful. Omar was our waiter, he's super cool, & we'll be back. And then: My Benchcraft pocket knife fell out of my pocket but I didn't notice until the next day, and I called and Lauren found it wedged in the cushion of the seat I was in and she mailed it to me in San Antonio. Above and beyond. I highly, highly recommend this place with great food and even better people. :)
