Place is very clean, great atmosphere, food was fantastic, our waitress was great, but think she left after she gave us our ticket. Had to call someone else over to get our desserts and pay the tab. The only thing is the way the wait staff is dressed ( our waitress was dressed very nicely, black pants, black top). One waitress had cut-off jeans on extremely short, another had jeans with the holes in them, waiters had on jeans and t-shirts. Some of the other waitresses there were dressed nicely, black pants and black top. The management really needs to have a dress code for their employees, some people don't want to see someone's rear cheeks hanging out while they are eating. Just saying. This is a very nice establishment but some of the wait staff definitely need to dress better, even McDonald's employees dress better. I will be back because the food is good, just hope the owner or manager gets their wait staff to dress better. You got a classy place, but the dress code well for a bar it would be ok.
Excellent experience. Food was delicious, served hot, and a great value. I had chicken fried chicken, fried okra, and mac and cheese and my hubby had catfish and fried pickles. Both meals came with a salad. I ended up taking half my meal home i was so full. Service was excellent, our waitress was very nice and even got us teas to go when we got to go boxes without us having to ask for them. We will definitely be returning and I absolutely suggest this little gem to anyone wanting to try a local mom and pop spot.
This was our first time trying the Sidewalk Cafe. We were celebrating my husband's Birthday yesterday. This is the place he picked to eat at. He ordered a burger with an egg on it and fries. My husband loved the bread that the hamburger was served on. My husband didn't care so much for the quality of the burger itself. I ordered the Ruben sandwich with onion rings. It was very tasty. I enjoyed it! We both had half cut peach flavored teas which were good.
Our Server was wonderful! I believe his name was Eric. He was very intuned to our needs. We will be back. It was a nice experience. Something different!
Easy parking and easy to find the place. They seem family oriented and have a decent sized menu. It looks like they may have tamales on the weekends but they were out when we last visited. Service was slow and it was hard to find a server to pay. All in all the food was good, they were OK to sub things out from the menu and handled my kids well.
First time here and will definitely be back! The food was fresh and flavorful. I visited on a Saturday morning and I have no idea why there isn't a line out the door because this place is a hidden gem. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Croissant sandwich was delightful as well. Staff were courteous and prompt. Loved it!
Went with my mom and my sister.
Menu had a great variety and the prices were more than fair considering the amount of food you got. Our server Rory was wonderful...
always spot on and was great with service. Definitely will go there again...5 STARS!
Small local owned business. Had everything from breakfast to chicken fried steak to catfish. All has been good eating. Can actually hear your companion talk. Low noise issue you see so often.
Was with a large group for lunch. Everyone at the long table (nice because this was better than splitting up the group) had great tasting sandwiches and burgers. Mine seemed home cooked, not typical canned restaurant formula. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. The ambiance was quiet enough so we could all talk and be heard from the ends of the table. I would come back.
