Coming to this restaurant was a nice refresher of the usual fast food joints. I've had poke bowls before, but this fusion of Hawaiian and Latin cuisines was different in a good way. The restaurant itself was nice and clean and the staff was friendly enough. I ordered the Surf Candy, the Coasted Toconuts and the spam musubi. Be aware this is raw seafood we are talking about here. The fish tasted fresh and the accompanying ingredients also were good. The musubi was better than Hawaiian Bros musubis. They even have branded disposable chopsticks. I thought that was a nice touch. I knocked off one star because I found two hairs in one of the bowls. Most likely by accident. I will most likely return to Po K Loco.
Very flavorful and fresh but…
The smoke flavoring on the tofu makes it taste and feel like you’re eating hot dog bits 🤮 which made it difficult to eat, would like to see an option for regular tofu. Requested sauces on side, but they were in the entree which made the flavor a little strong for my liking. There were green onions on both entrees which were not ordered. Could stand to add a larger quantity of each topping, seemed to be pretty rice heavy.
Po-K Loco is my new favorite place for a delicious quick bite! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The decor inside is awesome. And the best part - the poke bowls! So yummy and highly customizable.
This place has the best poke I've found in Denton or surrounding areas so far. I love their enoki & they give a good amount of fish (I order salmon every time). They are only doing take out right now, but that's fine with me because then I can add some more of my own ingredients at home! Very friendly staff every time I go.
One of my Denton staples while I was here attending UNT. I'm going to miss this place a lot and the staff were always friendly. Extremely fresh ingredients and I loved every custom poke bowl I've had here.
This place was fantastic! Diverse and unique flavors, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. High quality food and run by the same guys that operate Komodo Loco. My only suggestion would be to provide some additional descriptions of some of the less known herbs/spices/etc for newbies like myself. I’ll definitely come back so I can try some of the other bowls. Highly recommended!
