My first time checking out the Cactus Mexican Kitchen. Friendly staff and clean spacious dining area. I had the Barbacoa tacos on corn and they were perfect. A little bowl of menudo on the side was delicious! Their micheladas are just the right amount of spicy. I'll be back again.
New restaurant. Food was good, portions large but not too big. The dining area is very clean as are the restrooms. The owner is actively working with the waitstaff and is very helpful and friendly. The tacos al pastor are a must have. Everyone at our table was satisfied. Will put into our regular rotation.
I am blown away! Everything was tasty and food was so fresh. The food reminds me of home. Got the carne asada fries and birria tacos. Will definitely be coming back!
Despite resent review comments!!! I am Latino myself and the owner has gone above and beyond with over whelming hospitality. He greets EVERYONE as a friend. Never once did he express more gratitude towards “white folks.” He is always fair. Now the food, is definitely an amazing taste! There are plenty of good places to eat here in Denton and this is most definitely one of those places. The service is great the food is awesome and the prices are affordable!!! A must “add” into dinning circulation!
Omg the food is delicious! I had the birria tacos and next day went back and got the salsa verde chicken enchiladas. So good it all was. They only been opened 2 months and I know they are here to stay. Love me some real authentic mexican food. Definitely will be back! If u haven't tried them ya need too. You won't be disappointed.
My son and I recently ate here for the first time just after the restaurant opened. The food and service were excellent. We were long-time patrons of the previous restaurant at this location, Los Gallos. Our only request is that Cactus bring back the fabled Enchiladas Verde from the Los Gallos menu.
I’ve followed Freddy’s businesses since Big Knife Tacos and he has stepped up business each time. The Cactus Mexican Kitchen is no exception. The we ordered a lunch platter (choose 3) and the Queso Flamado and we were extremely pleased with the food. It came timely, was hot, and very delicious — definitely a “must try” in Denton!
