My sister and I enjoyed our breakfast at Old West Pancake House. The waitress was very nice. Great little place for good food.
food was delicious and staff is super friendly. Breakfast burrito was amazing! my kids loved the pancakes and French toast.
I happened upon this place one day and have been back several times. I quite honestly did not know if they were open the first time I went in because there wasn't anyone (no customers) there.
The food here is fantastic and so is the service. I come back often, especially for the German pancake.
Food was so good. Pancakes were great. I definitely recommend it. Surprised restaurant on Saturday was empty though there was a number of take outs.
Attentive and friendly service. Had the Italian skillet, 2 eggs and 3 pancakes for under $10. A hidden gem in Denver give the other trendy brunch spots stiff competition. Don't be fooled by the location!
It was my first time ever eating here being that I’m from out of state. We were a table of 7, however we were able to be seated immediately. The 2 lady waitress were very friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was 10/10 - pancakes extremely soft and melt in your mouth, the Denver omelet was amazing as well though I added cheese, mushrooms, & ham, and lastly the apple juice complimented the entire meal. My overall experience was a 10/10.
This place is one of those hidden gems you stumble upon from time to time. Completely family run, Dad is in back cooking, and daughter serves the tables. I suspect each hides a secret talent you could never guess they possessed at first glance.
I'll tell you rheir secrets now...
Firstly, the young lady hostess / server although
she appears to be scarcely 17, she attends to the front of house with a remarkably professional, attentive, and friendly demeanor. All of which,, belies her youth and what I assumed at first glance would be inexperience. So happy to be reminded not to judge a book by its cover.
Same could be said for her father. There is just no other way to say it, he is an incredible cook. After tasting 3 separate breakfast menu items on 3 different occasions at varied times of day, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that he is a Michelin Starred Chef. And even if he isn't my taste buds can't tell.
I always have an incredibly fun 'foodie experience ' in this completely laid back family friendly environment.
6 stars! [One of them "Michelin".]
Love this place! I just received a new grubhub order and had to say something. I work nearby and I have tried most of the the things on the menu and everything I have tried is very good. It may not look fancy or trendy, but it's awesome. They make their Ranch and Guacamole fresh. Breakfast, all great. I especially like their omlettes and pancakes (light and amazing). Their sandwiches are so good with the bread roll toasted just right with plies of high quality meats. Patty melt was delicious, but that's the only burger I've tried. Salads yum - with lots of veggies. Their Mexican food is surprisingly good. Better than many mexican restaurants I have been to. I cannot say enough about the food here, espcially for the price! The service is also friendly and fast!
It's been a while since I've been here, and you'd think a spot near the highway would be hit or miss or only good for nursing a hangover, but this place is the most consistent and reasonable breakfast spot in town right now. The cook Joe is a better cook than your mom and your grandma, and this spot is criminally overlooked. I frequent the Butcher Block, I love those folks but honestly, their entire menu pales in comparison to Old West Pancake House, in terms of quality and flavor. I'm sorry. This spot is no joke. Sadly, it seems they'll be closing in December, so go check em out before then you will not regret it. Also, hold other establishments accountable in terms of quality. Sounds obvious, but I'm damn surprised how overlooked this place is compared to others. Thanks for everything Joe.
Took a second to find where this was but once in we were seated at a large booth and my daughter was able to run around in it. The service was slow but it gave us a chance to talk and interact with our daughter. Our food came and it was so good. I had chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes and my wife had the denver omelet. Mine was very good. Sometimes CFS can be too salty but this was perfection. The pancakes were fluffy and sweet. Would recommend this place and will be back.
You might be thrown off by the arguments and little kids running around but the waiters do their best and are very nice. The food is great and surprised me by how good it was. If your considering this place to eat, I would say give it a chance and remain open minded. The food will not disappoint even if the place seems a bit unconventional.
