$15 for my perfect Keto Diet meal while I was having some layover by Newark Liberty International Airport!! A gentleman in this restaurant prep my dish with a little bit of every single meat selections!! It really filled me up and made my travel a lot more happier!! Gracias!!

I'd recommend this place for a casual bite, full of flavor, and reminiscent of home cooking!
On an overnight, we found El Cibao just down the street from our airport hotel. The reviews looked good and it was close so we decided to walk over. The woman who owns it is from the DR. She has a ton of experience in the hotel and restaurant industry, and it shows. She patiently explained the menu items to my friends (one who had never had Dominican food) and was so nice too. When the food came, it was delicious! I did the "happy food dance", which I only do when its THAT good! I had the pollo guisado. We talked to her a bit before leaving and learned of how she followed her dreams of owning a business, for which she is proud, and admittedly says "it's hard work". I love to support a local female owned business!
A gem among the numerous Dominican steam table restaurants found in Elizabeth. Friendly service, home-cooked and brilliantly tasting food, as well generous portions for the price.
These are dishes where you can really taste the sazon/sofrito. In addition to their daily steam table offerings, there is an ala carte menu, including mofongo!!!

Stayed at a hotel near Newark airport the night before a Royal Caribbean cruise and found this place a few blocks away. Great home cooked Dominican food. Excellent food and service. You get a lot of food for the money. Very reasonably priced.
The food was amazing. By far the best Spanish food I have tasted since living in Jersey. The owner is phenomenal and the service was outstanding. If I could give them 10 stars I would 100%. If you are ever around make sure you go here to eat I promise you won't regret it. Oxtails are GREAT.
The food was good !! Beef empanadas rice beans and pork was delicious.. can’t wait to come back ..
