I have always had excellent service here with super friendly and helpful staff-today was no exception. Also today's music is stellar: 30's and 40's torch music-so fun!

Amazing coffee--unique with high quality products. There's always something new and interesting to try. Fair trade and/or locally made everything for a guilt-free cup! There's always a bit if wait--but it's worth it for all the hand-craftiness that I goes into each food and drink!
The coffee isn't amazing (not bad either). The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing. They add some nice touches with your order. As I said, not the best coffee in town but it doesn't disappoint!

Bookend is a pleasant and charming cafe located inside Everett Public Library. The coffee is sourced from Veltin's (a local Everett roaster) and is available prepared in several methods: pour over (v60 or Chemex), drip, espresso, or aero press. While any latte, cappuccino, mocha, or cortado will be quite excellent, the staff seems especially skilled with pour over preparation or straight espresso (my two preferred methods for having coffee). Alongside coffee are pastries, bagels, snack bars, and non-coffee drinks such as tea and cider. Due to the popularity of the Everett Library, it can occasionally get a bit bogged down due to an endless stream of orders, so be patient if you see a small line. Luckily, the pleasantly decorated space, soft music, and comfortable tables and chairs make it an enjoyable place to wait. Once you have your coffee, it's just that much better.

Remember when coffee shops were more than just industrial boxes, to keep you alive for one more day of agony on a rabbit wheel called a career? Where there was jazz pouring from every fiber of the ambience...even if there was no music?
Book end has that magic. Every cup is handcrafted from the ground up. The vendor was chosen with care and each shot poured with Samurai precision and a mad mans passion and milk like the velvet breath of angles...every time
Add to that, interesting and authentic people, this is no place for snotty hipsters or bikini tarts. The people who work here are real, friendly and painfully interesting, still waters run deep here; expect to hear muses whispering and a hunger to create something bold when you leave.
Expect more than something to hold your eyes open for the horrors of this not so brave new world. It is an experience, at once stimulating and nurturing, a blessed libation from the muses. This place is a sanctuary for those of us who still choose to live authentically in this tiresome and flavorless age.
