Second time coming to Sakura Garden and the wonderful woman who works there remembered me and what I ordered.
Their food is beautiful and very tasty. I will be a forever customer based of their customer care and their amazing food.
My family stopped in for dinner last night. It was our first visit so we had no idea what to expect. As we entered we noticed a lot of people waiting for take out. Which seemed like a good sign! We stood there for a few minutes wondering whether we should seat ourselves or wait. They were busy so no problem. Finally someone greeted us and showed us to our seat. The dining area was cluttered with boxes and seemed to also be used for storage. We ordered chicken lo mein, teriyaki steak and general tso chicken. All of the food was delicious. Portions were generous. One important thing to note is that my daughters chicken lo mein had shrimp in it. Not a problem for us but could be for some people. The general tso was perfect. A little crispy and just the right amount of spice, in my opinion. The steak teriyaki wasn’t quite hot enough but the flavor of the steak paired with the rice and onions was amazing. Overall it was a good experience. We will definitely be back.
I'm a Doordash driver and I love delivering orders from this restaurant. The staff is friendly and prompt with orders I pick up almost every time.
Their food smells delicious so I'll have to try their dishes someday. I'm always drooling whenever I'm driving with their steaming hot food in their bags in my backseat.
Food was fantastic and the service was great didn't wait long at all
Sakura Garden has excellent sushi. We are sushi connoisseurs, eating it wherever we travel. Sakura can compete with all the sushi restaurants we’ve tried all over the country. I told my SIL and she couldn’t believe such a good sushi place was in Fairport. She tried it and now also only orders from Sakura. It’s our go-to place for sushi and we’re never disappointed.
I consider Sakura Garden to be a step beyond the typical, greasy Chinese takeout joint, but at the end of the day, it's a similar format. Sure you can eat in, but I usually treat it as a takeout place. In the five years I've been occasionally stopping in, I've never been disappointed by a hot entree off the Chinese menu. The vegetables are fresh and there's a lot more variety than a typical Chinese place. If I'm just picking up food for myself, I order an additional side of rice and get two meals out of one entree. The few times I've sat down and eaten there, the table service has been acceptable.
I'm seeing a lot of other reviewers comment on the poor quality of the sushi. I have never had any issues with it myself, but I am by no means vastly experienced in sushi. I'd say it's definitely better than Wegmans and the couple of sushi places on West Ridge I've been too. The joint I was in LA was better, but that's to be expected in a large, coastal city. I've had no complaints about the rolls at Sakura Garden.
Overall a solid choice for a relatively inexpensive meal. I'll continue to stop in as long as I live nearby.
Ordered dinner for two for pickup. Appetizers, sushi rolls, and Lo Mein. Very happy with the quality of the food. The sushi was delicious and fresh. The hot entrees were large portions - we have enough for a second meal. Reasonably priced, will be back again.
Their sesame chicken was decent and the lady serving me was very kind.
We love their sushi, hibachi, and general tso's chicken. They are very pleasant and it's fantastic food
LOVE this place! Their food is amazing and their portions are generous. Their sushi is prepared so well and served at the perfect temperature. Just ordered my first bento box and WOW! The teriyaki steak is to die for. So tender and flavorful. I’ve always ordered sushi or their shrimp lo mein (ask them to spice it up a bit, yum!) but I think I am going to explore their menu more from now on.
