THE best restaurant in Ferndale and top ten in southeastern Michigan. Consistent great food, service, and atmosphere. Great for a special occasion or a last minute decision to go out for a great meal. For years this place has maintained high standards of great menu choices and fantastic staff. JUST GO!!! :)

It’s my favorite place to go. A wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. A charming couple who own the place. The food is top notch. A great wine list. It’s really my go to to meet up with friends and family. You should go.
My wife and I went for dinner with another couple on a Saturday evening. The staff here are very nice and the food was delicious. The owner was very friendly as well and made it a point to check with people dining there to make sure everything was good. I didn’t hear a single person have anything negative to say. We had the Arancini and Calamari with Artichoke appetizers and those were good. My wife and I had the lamb chops and scallops and they were excellent. We will be back again.
The bill was a little over a hundred dollars for the food and two glasses of wine. There is parking on the street in front of the restaurant and also a large parking lot behind the restaurant that is $1 per hour.
First time visitor this week. Assaggi's was just delightful. It has a cozy outdoor atmosphere, great food, and the staff were joyful and caring. We felt very taken care of. Can't believe I haven't been before!
I want to say we had an excellent dinner and service. My guests and I were very happy we tried this restaurant. The food was fresh, full of flavors and delicious. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Megan for your exceptional service! Thank you to everyone for making our evening memorable.
The service was good, staff friendly. Menu Choices were limited and the sauce on my pasta was a little watery. For the most part everything was great.
Wow!!!! Absolutely amazing food and great service! I highly recommend and definitely will be back! I got the Cioppino and my partner got the lamb chops. They were both amazing! For appetizers we got the meze and calamari.
This was the most amazing experience I have ever had. The staff was so warm and welcoming, very friendly. I learned a whole lot about wine. The food was cooked to perfection and flavored just right.. totally authentic. Beautiful everything..
Linguine with clam sauce. Sauce was the perfect texture and seasoned perfectly. The arancini were delicious and reminded me of ones I had growing up. Gnocchi were not gummy and were cooked perfectly as well. The chicken was delicious and flavorful as well and I loved the brine and brightness the capers brought. This is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the metro Detroit area and one of the most authentic. Classy restaurant and ambiance and great service.
I was actually impressed! When I pay for a lovely dining experience, I expect prompt service and perfectly cooked food. Thank you Assaggi Bistro for that!
