My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary there the last 6 years. Needless to say we have ALWAYS had superb food and service - no matter how we were dressed.... Sonny's establishment hires some of the finest cooks and servers and upon talking to our server last night she stated it was one of the most supportive, and caring establishments she's ever worked for. Scott and I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and Beef Carpaccio - SUPERB!! We then shared the Bacon Wrapped Filet, which was cooked to order and they didn't blink twice about us sharing a meal. When we first got there it was 5:30. Restaurant was totally empty and the staff was most accommodating. We ordered a flight of their Port Selection for desert and was not disappointed in the least. Once again, our server was quick in telling us about each glass and was truly thrilled in watching us savor each glass. By the end of the evening - 2 hours later - the restaurant was full (Scott and I like to watch how the staff interacts with customers), and the serving staff was interacting with each of their tables and the atmosphere was delightful. We highly suggest Sonny Lubicks and do not doubt you will have the meal of your life.
This was our first time for dinner at Sonny Lubick Steakhouse. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant is small and ambiance is great for a date. Quiet, but not too quiet. The food is amazing! Yes it is a Steakhouse, but don’t think “a slab of meat on a plate”. This is high end gourmet food. Expertly prepared and plated. The menu is extensive, and offers a lot more tha just steak.
The pace of dinner was relaxed allowing us to enjoy the food, and wine. The noise level is low making conversation enjoyable
This is an “adult” restaurant. If you have kids, leave them at home with a babysitter.
We will be back!
A Fort Collins staple, Sonny Lubick's offers a genuine steakhouse atmosphere with one of the best wine selection in town. The food is excellent. The staff is attentive and offer great customer service. Must try the Pork Belly...... It's mouthwatering.
Simply exceptional - food prepared exactly as we asked, with gracious and smart service from Greg (a fine food & wine pro) and Bree. Both food and service significantly exceeded our expectations.

This restaurant is a gem. It really sets itself apart from its competitors with high quality food and excellent customer service. Unlike 99% of American food establishments, this place doesn’t rush customers to flip a table and pull a profit. What does this mean?…..well they will take their time with you delivering a high quality, attentive, and focused experience. This also means you shouldn’t come here expecting an Outback Steakhouse pump and dump experience, where you’re in and out in 45 minutes. You come here for excellent food and an outstanding dining experience. I highly recommend this place, their food, and their incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can’t speak highly enough and we will definitely be back. Thank you Greg and team for such a wonderful experience tonight. See you again on the 11th.
For a very busy night, service was still on point. Lovely staff, very personable experience.
Their prime rib was great, medallions were cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes are loaded with flavor and asparagus was done just right. Was kinda apprehensive about ordering oysters in a land locked state but they were delightful.
Would definitely recommend this place!
Great service, great food.
We have never had a bad meal here and it is some of the finest dining in Fort Collins. Great for special occasions and just for a good meal.

Friendly staff that are very attentive. The filets are huge, juicy and cooked perfectly.

Hard to miss with any of the steaks. They serve the turf side but that's not my thing.
Usually not too busy, they have a bar and some amazing memorabilia!!
One important note, they are down a flight of stairs, so if you can't get down a flight of stairs you'll have to miss all the great food and Atmosphere.
