Only our second time eating here but I LOVE this place! The prime rib, NY strip and boneless short ribs are all dynamite... the Guiness reduction is what all Guiness reductions are hoping to be. Next time(s) I will try the trout and chicken. This is pub-style, but the food far exceeds anything served in England! LOL You could starve to death in England if you didn't like fish, chips and ale. I digress... the food, service and atmosphere are all absolutely excellent. Moot House will for sure be a regular dinner choice for the Captain and I now that we live in Fort Collins.
Great food! First time trying the pan seared chicken and it was delicious! Husband had the chicken sliders he was very impressed . The bartender was very generous! Great time!
It has been a while since I’ve been to Moot House. Great old pub atmosphere, and good food. The fish and chips was amazing. Super thin breading and good cod.
Super friendly service from host to bartender to food runner.
Epicurean curated local beer list. Nice work.
Ate off the Happy Hour menu... Had a nice variety! Had the Pretzels, Buffalo Chicken, Calamari, and Fish and Chips.
Buffalo Chicken it's made of tender bites with a house made Red Hot powder. Very different and not messy or greasy with a Buffalo flair.
Calamari was fantastic, light and crispy outer coating and done perfectly. It's easy to overcook and make them rubbery... This was far from that. They were also in a sweet chili sauce which was great!
Pretzels were average. Honey mustard was ok. Pair it with a beer cheese (all of their house made stuff is amazing) and it would be a hit!
Fish and Chips were good. Fish was of good quality and the fries were the same. I'm pretty sure their tartar side was made in-house as well and was delicious!
Now for dessert... We were going to order the Brownie ala mode, but we were guided toward the Sticky Toffee Pudding by the extremely helpful server. OMG... It was amazing. The cake, the brown sugar toffee sauce... Off. The. Chain. Good! Highly recommend!
Overall, a great restaurant. Nice and clean atmosphere. Great service. Recommend for sure!
Excellent food, the cheese curds, pretzels, and the prime rib sandwich are to die for! I had been hoping for a traditional German fare, which was minimal though not nonexistent here, but instead was pleasantly surprised by the straight up outstanding quality of all sampled here, delivered with excellent service
Decent food and service. Prime rib was quite good. Good location on College near Horsetooth.
Great service and food! We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back! The prime rib is legit and the stuffed mushrooms and pretzels were delicious as appetizers. Looked like they had a good selection of beer too.
I'm writing this review much later from my visit.
During COVID, I needed a place to sit and watch a swim meet online because spectators were not allowed.
Moot House was a great place to spend a few hours watching the swim meet. My server was flexible with my time and beer/food pace.
The Moot House attracted me because of the Pork Schnitzel on the menu. The Schnitzel tasted great and was served hot. I enjoyed the mustard cream sauce. I recall the french fries were not so tasty.
The beer menu was interesting and included several sour beers. I enjoyed mine.
I visited at the height of the COVID pandemic. The restaurant was very conscious of the rules and patron safety. I could tell tables were removed to allow for social spacing.
Due to COVID, I found a great place to visit again next time I'm in town. Thanks!
The food and atmosphere here is wonderful!! They have amazing Brussels sprouts and calamari. There are a few fireplaces and it truly feels like something out of Scotland. The staff is always wonderful and so kind to kids. This is an excellent place for lunch or dinner or just drinks. I love this place!
