Remember no-gimmick plain-delicious pizza? That's Papa Murphy's take and bake. No gimmicks. Not salty. Not greasy. Not oily. Just really good pizza. We had the 16" family, hand-made loaded with sausage, black olives, sun dried tomatoes, garlic and mushrooms. We have enough left for tomorrow's lunch. I'm into pizza and usually make my own but haven't had time, so Plan B was Papa Murphy. I loaded up mine with fresh basil after it came out of my oven. The shop was well-staffed. My custom order took about five minutes to create. There were online and phone-in orders all prepped and waiting for pick up. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and bright. Fresh made take and bake pizza was a great concept when Papa Murphy introduced it years ago and it still is. It's a great, healthy option.
Ordered mediterranean chicken with sun-dried tomatos on the side...It might just be me, but the spinach would be best served.....under..... the cheese.
smh. Their quality varies a bit, but solid four stars.
Good pizza, great deals on Tuesday ($10 large) and Friday ($5 select thin varieties)
Prices are a bit high considering the food isn't cooked. But the pizzas are pretty great. This was our first visit and we came in with a free pizza coupon that said up to 5 toppings (I got 4); then when it was checkout time it only took $10 off. Still a good deal but not free.
Great pizza, more toppings than pizza but, godfathers, or any other chain. And so fast.
We have probably gotten at least 50 pizzas from this place since moving to ft.collins. It’s awesome every single time, super crispy crust, nice people, fast service, amazing consistency with all these things. Love them!!
Papa Murphy's is pretty consistently Papa Murphy's-- "cheap pizza Tuesday", as my home calls it, is something we look forward to about once a month. I developed a pretty severe lactose intolerance as an adult and haven't been able to indulge in pizza-- of the "cheap Tuesday" sort, or otherwise. My mom had an idea yesterday to purchase our own "fozzarella" and add it to a pizza, sans cheese, prior to baking it at home. When we went into the store, we asked for no cheese and then, out of curiosity and convenience, asked if the team there would be willing to add the fake cheese as if it were normal mozzarella during the pizza producing process.
The gentleman I asked (he was wearing a mask or else I could describe and thank him better; he did have a CO forearm tattoo), had no problem accommodating my request, despite the line out the door-- he even made sure to tend to the pizza himself so as to ensure no confusion was made.
This wasn't anything extraordinary-- but it was greatly appreciated and the superb customer service was noticed. I don't plan on making this a regular thing because I know it's not the most convenient, but it's nice to know this kind of service is still out there. Thank you, Papa Murphy's, "cheap pizza Tuesday", and awesome dude with forearm tattoo, for being so accommodating-- I CAN HAVE PIZZA AGAIN!
