A New Englander's home away from home. This place offers authentic New England fare with a great atmosphere. They have memorabilia all over the place and are super friendly and attentive. I had their fried clam strips, which were tender and crispy. Their chowder is on point!
Great value and prices, nice interior, good service and AUTHENTIC new England seafood. It passed my husbands and grandfather in laws test and they are both from boston. Try the lobster roll!
Here is my 2 cents on the food. The clam chowdah was great. No added pepper, salt or crackers needed. MMM good. I had fried oysters and the Boston Baked Beans I have never had oysters except from a can. Theses were good. Fried to a golden crisp. I did think the larger ones were a bit unusual. The texture as such. Now the beans. I was not impress. They tasted like the canned Van de Camp beans. Only their beans were smaller. I would pass on them next time.
Now the chit chat. I was there on a Saturday at 1145 AM. I really did not think it thru. It is a New England style seafood eatery. So a bit pricy...12.99 for a lunch menu. Over all a great place. Service excellent,(thumbs up Jolene) Great flown in ingredients. Good food.
But bring a bit of cash or credit card. NO American Express....
The best fried clams ever!!
Great food, great people! If you are in fort myers and don't eat here your loss! Stuffed mushrooms are very good. Stuffed shrimp are killer as well. Oh yea love the fishermen platter as well. Never thought being an Indianapolis Colts fan I could love something from New England😀
Finally a really good New England style seafood restaurant ! Loved their lobster bisque. Their lobster roll was meaty packed with lobster. If you like it more like salad add the tartar sauce ( it's on the table) or if you like it sautéed ask for melted butter on the side and pour it on.also a very good strawberry rhubarb pie (heated is best) with or without ice cream. Will definitely be back to try their clams -- stuffed, fried. Chowdered, steamed, etc.

Small old atmosphere with outstanding fish and chips. Excellent broiled grouper. Out of this world stuffed clam appetizer. Ok mussels, pretty good garlic potatoes, really good burgers and magnificent kids haddock fingers. Cherry on top is the super friendly service. Oh and the French fries are also out of this world!
For authentication new england seafood this is the place to go! Mark has been cooking seafood most of his life and its great! Very friendly service from the entire staff! Step inside and you're in new england!
Great Experience. My fiance and I went to the restaurant Saturday night for the first time. Didn't even know it was there even though I used to go to the Dentist in the same plaza. This was the first time my fiance has experienced a clam bake. The only thing that could have made the experience more enjoyable is if we were up North sitting around a picnic table with friends. As close to the real thing as you can get. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Great staff!!! The only knock is that the decor is a little dated and could use some freshining up, but all-in-all we were totally satisfied and will return for more.
Yummie!. Clam Bake is awesome! Went searching for belly clams and found this place online. The belly clams were soo good!!! Had their special with belly clams, fries and the chowder. The fries were fresh, cooked perfectly! Chowder was decent. The staff was amazing; they were friendly, helpful and were fun! I would go back in a heart beat to try something else!!
Always a fresh meal. Best lobster roll I've had all year, and that is saying something because I spent a weekend on Cape Cod.... scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the early bird fish special... thanks for a great late lunch!
My wife surprised me by picking this fabulous local restaurant for our 36th anniversary dinner. I am a New Yorker and huge Yankees fan, walking in and seeing all the Redsox and Patroit paraphernalia was startling. Don't let it bother you! You are in for a huge treat.
The food was top-notch and well prepared. Great portion size, and the taste is an 11. If you are in South Fort Myers Florida and like lobster or clams or the whole New England Beach vibe, this place is for you. Please turn out and support this place. We started with the sreamed Middleneck clams, wow, highly recommend. My wife had the hot lobster roll, and I, the lazyman Lobstah. The pictures say it all. The price was not only reasonable it was fabulous. Our server Devin was a pleasure, and the input form Rosey was a great thanks. We will be back to try the other delicious sounding things they have.
Thank you, Mark and Laurie, for hosting us on our big day!
DO NOT HESITATE TO DINE HERE! The food is extraordinary. I had the broiled seafood platter with mashed potatoes. DIVINE! The New England Clam chowder is so good! Appetizer were on point. I highly recommend the middle neck clams and stuffed mushrooms. The staff was friendly and the service was impeccable.
A very busy place indeed but of course we know the reason places are busy is because they serve great food. I got there just in time to have the early bird special. For $16 you get the chowdah, fried oysters and 1 side. I chose the glaze carrots. I was not impressed with them however everything else was delicious. On Saturday's all day long they have happy hour Bud products $2. Is well in wine drinks $5. It was a great meal at a great price. Is in very packed soul plan accordingly.
Food has always been good!!!
Waitress took a long time to take our order, we had to ask another waitress to take our order.
The place has a smell to it, kind of like seafood that has been sitting in the garbage or clam juice spilled in the carpet?
Funny tasting coleslaw, not a fan. Seating only offers 3 booths, the rest are tables and hard chairs. We like to dine in booths, but they seem to be first to fill up.
The service was friendly, and the staff made sure I had everything I needed for a satisfying dining experience. The nautical decor added a nice touch to the overall ambiance.
While The Clam Bake is known for its seafood, the menu offers a range of options for different preferences. It's a great place to enjoy a seafood-centric meal in a relaxed setting. I left with a full stomach and a positive impression of this coastal gem.
Had the crab stuffed mushrooms to start. Very good.
Clam chowder was very hot, seemed fresh and it was tasty, minus it needed salt and pepper.
Fried clams were definitely NOT frozen out of the bag. These you could tell were hand breaded to order.
Coleslaw was very cold and surprisingly good.
Food would have been 5 stars but it's missing some spice, even some Salt and pepper would be helpful. Service could have been 5 stars but the waitress never introduced herself and never recommended any items even though it was my first dining experience.
Overall I WILL go back and try some new menu items bc even though my experience wasn't OUTSTANDING, it was far from bad .
We received a very pleasant welcome. The menu has a good selection, something for everyone. Good food at a good price. Very comfortable atmosphere. Portions are .ore than adequate!
I was totally blown away by the quality of the food. Just discovered this jem. There's nothing like new england seafood as I'm from RI. I had the whole belly class and chowda. My wife had the broiled seafood and a stuffy. Happy hour wad fantastic also...we'll be back as this is my favorite place...
Great price food!!! Nice atmosphere recommend if during peak times reservations. We were fine quick friendly service!!
