The food was INSANELY DELICIOUS!!!! But it's definitely a hole in the wall place. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about. But if you're looking for good authentic tacos- this is your place! The server was sweet. We were the only white people in the place & maybe the onlys speaking English- a good sign of authenticity! Good prices! Quick service! The pork al pastor is INCREDIBLE! If you like or love Mexican food, you must go here! My husband had two prom tacos & a shrimp, I had a chicken quesadilla. We could've eaten so much more!
Went with a friend after yoga in the same plaza. The place is nothing great to look at. In fact, I seriously questioned the cleanliness. However, all of my fears were forgotten when I bit into one of their tacos. Fresh, delicious, and exactly what I hoped it would be. Would have given more stars but for the condition of the interior.
I guess the secret is out! The tacos are fresh, the salsa is delicious & the beer is cold. That's it...
The BEST!. This place is hands down the best, most authentic Mexican food in Fort Myers...or ANYWHERE! The trio of salsas are amazing on anything. The Ceviche is to die for! The quesadillas, which are more like big tacos with cheese in them are by far my favorite. I love love love this place and hope they never leave me!

Tasty and recommended. Great value. Great food. Cleanliness.... not so much. Dust covered fake plants, etc. Paint and straightening up would help as well.
Pollo tacos were awesome. Lots of tender meat, onions and cilantro. Homemade sauces were complex with ranging heat levels. Bottled sauces also available.

Best in SWFL. Well! This is the place to come for soft tacos. They have a limited menu soft taco & quesadilla.
Choice of steak ,pork, chicken, beef, tongue and & tripe. Its simple and good. As of this writing Tacos 1.50 & quesadilla 2.50.
They also had 3 outstanding sauces . Mild, hot ,and a smokey flavor hotter sauce. Home made and delisssss.hh
So if you are in the area avoid Taco Bell and try this place.
OHHHH yes get the Mexican Coke in the bottle$2.00 but OHHH so much better than the US Coke. They use REAL sugar cane. not corn syrup.

I had heard the best things about San Julian but I had my doubts that it was worth the hype! They have two locations in the same plaza: one is mainly just for tacos, quesadillas, and appetizers and the other is for their combination dinners and specialty plates, including the Quesabirria tacos. They also sell meat at the second location. We popped into this spot as we were dying to try their Quesabirria tacos. OH MY GOSH. Up until this point, I don't think I've truly lived until I had that first bite. The tenderness of the meat, the melted cheese, hot, fresh, juicy, a hint of lime, the spices, the cilantro, the onion... chef's kiss. I'm making an excuse to come here anytime we are in the area. You have to make this place a priority if you haven't been! We also got a torta with pork and it was to die for!!
No-frills spot gets 4.4 ⭐️ Nothing fancy about this place. You want no-nense good Mexican food that you can enjoy and don't mind the foot traffic of customers coming in to get their meat cuts or groceries, then you'll be just fine. I had the Quesobirria which was probably one of the best I've had. The meat was flavorful and didn't have alot of fat. The tortilla had the right amount of birria sauce and wasn't oily. The chicharrones were good and not oily either. The breaded chicken breast was well seasoned and juicy. Rice, frijoles had great texture with great taste. I don't eat pre-packaged store tortillas so I appreciate they have freshly made tortillas. While I'm not a huge fan of tortillerias (they tend to thin out the masa and end up dry), this one was enjoyable. Nos veremos pronto. Gracias!
Best Mexican food I've ever had!
Was recommended to us by a car salesman we were working with. So we stopped in while test driving the car.
The parking lot was mostly full at lunch time and is somewhat tight for larger vehicles, but totally manageable. We were in a big dually pickup.
Two round tables outside were full and inside was packed. A good sign as far as I'm concerned. All the employees were hustling and bustling and we didn't wait long for our food considering how busy it was. Seems like family run "mom and pop" place, which I love.
Food is amazing! Flavorful, good ingredients and fair price for what you're getting. I'm white as white bread but this seems like the real deal if you're looking for good Hispanic food.
If you are looking for a Mexican mom and pops restaurant look no more. Taqueria San Julian is the place to go. The food was excellent and explosive with flavors. Your first bite will have you melting into your chair like the cheese in your quesadilla. This is the place to stop on US 41 if you want comforting Mexican food.
My husband and I are from out of town and our hotel was in walking distance so we decided to give this place a try for dinner. We both got one steak taco, a chicken quesadilla and one order of guacamole and chips. The taco didn't have to much flavor but the chicken quesadilla was super good. Had a very good flavor. The guacamole was the best!!! The were super busy, the waitress seamed quick with everything, taking orders and payment. Wasn't really personal. But the food was good. I would still recommend this place.
I have dreams about their tacos and quesadillas! Hands down, the best I've ever eaten. So good, so fresh! I recommend to everyone!! Cannot get enough of this great food!!
If you want authentic Mexican then this is the place. Amazing tacos and horchata! When you walk in you order at the bar and then sit down. Food is always ready fast and tastes delicious!

Soooo Goooood!!! Had 2 steak and one cabeza taco on a flour tortilla and my husband had 3 steak corn tortillas… we LOVED them. Place was packed but service was very friendly and very fast. The sauces and red onions were very tasty, the price was excellent. Planing on coming back tomorrow. This place did not disappointed us at all, it reminded me of the tacos at Don Julios in Monterrey, Mexico.
