We found this place yesterday morning by accident while looking for a breakfast "chain" eatery. Glad we found this homey spot instead. The staff is super friendly. Decor is very cute. We walked in at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. They had homemade fresh baked blueberry scones right when you walk in. We took some to go. So good. The food was very good. I tried the special of the day which was Florentine Eggs Benedict with home fries. Very good. I like their version of hollandaise sauce. A little "lemony" similar to a picata sauce. It made the dish! Their portions and prices are on point. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.
The Golden Fork never disappoints! They have a great menu with lots of choices. We've eaten there numerous times over the past few years and have always been pleased. They have great service, reasonable prices, and delicious food. It's a family business that's well worth supporting.
Friendly first rate service. Good coffee. Nice menu choices. All items well prepared and served quickly
Lunch menu looks interesting too. If you're headed toward downtown Fort Myers, this is a good choice.

Well I heard it was busy thru the grape vine on Sunday...WOW it is. BUT the food is great.
I got a waffle,eggs & ham with coffee.
First a rant. Why do eateries give you all you can drink coffee? Then a small cup... see pic. !!!! Unfortunately .....
the coffee is really good.
Onward ...the eggs , (large) were cooked to a perfect over easy, waffle crisp and ham not too salty.My server, Nancy, did a excellent job.
It was packed and I actually waited for 15 minutes. So if in need of a outstanding breakfast...YOU must come here.

Some chatter. This is a great eatery that caters to us local yokels.. That it is popular with the snowbirds is a happy coincidence . They serve a variety of take home bake goods. Breakfast and lunch time chow is the deal here. Service is great except it may be slow on Sundays especially during season.
On this day I never had a low cup of java. Someone was always topping me off.
The food. I believe a 4 egg western omelet, house fries, tender fried to a delicate crisp & a freshly baked biscuit. With real butter was my choice of the day. Plus a slice of cantaloupe for garnishment completed the deal. Omelete properly prepared. Though I wish more places would carry hot jalapeno peppers. But I am surrounded with wimpy and weak constitutional bellies of old fogeys.
I am fortunate to be an old fogey,60, With a cast iron stomach and NO allergies of any kind.
Eating 4-5 pickle jalapenos at a sitting or loads of hot sauce. If it does not make me sweat it is not worth eating.I like my food like I like my women hot & spicy.
Service was great.

The reuben had the rye bread with the seeds as it should be. Meat flavorful with the right amount of marble. Good sauerkraut, well melted cheese. Fries golden brown. The cole slaw you want on a Sunday afternoon picnic.
Why 5 stars. The background music was soothing modern jazz good for the digestion. The tables were enough and arranged so it did not feel crowded. One of the owners/baker made it a point to visit all occupied tables. Service was great.
Here are a few tips. Sunday is the busy day.
Lots of parking in the rear.
They love the local clientele first and the snowbirds a close second.
One of the very few eateries that has 4 eggs omelets and Chicken and waffles. ;-)
Truly a delight.
So make it a point to visit and try the in house desserts.
Went in and the staff greeted us with a smile and immediately sat us. Our waitress,was Nancy and she was awesomse! And did an excellent job attending to our needs. The food was superb the flavors were money. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed
Great lunch sandwiches,Reuben on rye and roast pork on a chiabotta roll.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Golden Fork is a hidden gem in Fort Myers. Since moving here in June, my partner and I have been trying various brunch restaurants in the community. We were constantly disappointment with the lack luster food. We tried Golden Fork on a whim and we have made it our go to place every Sunday morning. Although there are no mimosas, the portions are large, prices are cheap ($9-11 a plate), the food tastes homemade and the service is very personable. The homemade biscuits are to die for. You can tell this place sees a lot of regulars as we see the same people each time. Reminds me of eating breakfast at my mothers house! Definitely worth a try!
Bar B Q sauce is amazing. Perfect portion sizes for a hearty meal! French toast is very professionally delicious. Gyro is evenly seasoned well and the tzatziki sauce is thick and full of flavor . Great waitress and personal service
Awesome place! The food was Outstanding and tasted really fresh. Nice staff. Nice restroom. Plenty of parking. It's an older building right on US41, but it's fixed up nicely and very clean inside. Breakfast served all day. We had the spinach breakfast wrap w/home fries and cantaloupe, and the "Tango omelette" that came with avavacdo and a black bean sauce, and a nice fresh fruit cup.
This is a hidden gem!! I was visiting Ft Myers and wanted a diner for some breakfast. The food was amazing. I had an egg breakfast sandwich and it came with fruit salad. It was the best fruit salad I’ve had. Loaded with bananas, kiwi, blueberries, grapefruit, grapes, pineapple and strawberries. I was so impressed with the food that I came back and ate lunch here. If you are in Ft Myers this is the place to eat
The service was excellent. Good food at a great price. Nice ambiance overall, cozy and bright at the same time; however, I think modern window shades would go a long way. The huge French press was fun and delicious. We will probably come back soon when we're in the neighborhood!
Service was amazing I feel bad I don't remember the servers name she is a younger dark haired lady who goes above and beyond to make sure her guest is happy. I am a native to this area and it was my first visit to the place even though I have passed it a million times. The food was okay. I got French toast which was a little soggy (undercooked) a sweet tea and a double espresso needed a bit of energy. Tea was great not sour at all and espresso was fresh. It food would have been fully cooked would have been 5 stars. I came late afternoon an hour before they closed I'm sure that played into it. I will definitely be returning thanks to the service though. I'll try for earlier so maybe the food won't be rushed lol . To my server thanks for great service to the cook slowdown love the taste was wonderful just needed a few more minutes.
Delicious breakfast! Friendly, fast and fabulous! Rainy, gloomy day made better. Will definitely be back.
