Love their cookie selection!! It's so difficult to find rainbow cookies, and theirs are fantastic!!! Always bring them as hostess gifts when I visit friends.
Great service. Awesome sandwiches. The clam chowder last Friday was some of the best I've had.
A Good Find. We are always looking for a good mom & pop breakfast place and European-American Bakery Cafe is the place to go! I ordered the fried egg BLT with the garlic aioli spread. It was delicious and made correctly as ordered. The service was prompt and very friendly. All their pastries are made in their bakery so we had to take some home! We will definitely revisit this gem.
Delicious! The portabella mushroom bisque was amazing! The service was lovely. A great little place for lunch. I will definitely be back.
So good!. As I sit here typing, I think of my fave sandwich - Caprice Chicken w/ Rustic Vegs and my mouth waters... :-) From the delicious Portuguese roll to the perfectly cooked chicken to the delicious veggies, it's just amazing. Of course they have many delicious things on the menu and even more in their pastries. It may be a little more expensive but it's definitely worth it.
Extremely nice staff, even as I took a while to decided what I wanted. I got a mocha latte and a cheese danish. About $9.50 total, on par and a good value compared to most bakeries I’ve been to. Cheese danish was good, I can describe it as a sort of a flaky cinnamon roll with cream cheese filling in the middle, insanely good. Mocha latte was probably the best I’ve had compared to other places I’ve been. Keep doing what y’all are doing, cause y’all are definitely doing everything right. 🙌🙌
From the outside it looks like another business in the area, but just by entering the place you feel a very pleasant change of atmosphere, which transports you to a typical European cafeteria. fresh products, carefully prepared, very varied, from sweet to savory (breads), delicious coffees with different preparations, and a varied menu for lunch. It is also an ideal space for lovers of brunches with mimosas. The attention to the table is very fast (we did not wait more than 5 minutes) and very attentive. Definitely a site recommended for its tranquility and good products!

A nice selection of pastries cupcake cookies ect... Always fresh. Prices are not bad either. Never sat for breakfast tho but would be surprised if wasn't just as good.
If you have driven down Metro Parkway, you may have noticed American European Cafe yet not stopped in. Delay no more. The caramel macchiato is topped with homemade whip cream. The caramel is not just a syrup additive.
Better than Starbucks coffee.
I enjoy their fresh salads topped with juicy chicken, creative omelets, pastries and the chicken pot pie.
Even the staff is friendly, always smiling, even when it a hectic day for them.
I love this place. It's great food and environment. Their baked goods will make you wish you had more cheat days in your schedule. But the servers are what keep me coming back. Ask for Sarah or Ashley and you'll have a great dining experience.
Wow! We lived in Europe for three and a half years and one of our favorite experiences was local bakeries and cafes. This is a great replication! Superb baristas serving coffee, genuine European pastries and much more. I tried the Denver melt, and it was awesome! Clearly using very fresh ingredients and cooked order. Friendly Service as well. This place has it all.
Though the place is great for food and pastries....the decor inside NEEDS HELP. The owners have to see the incredibly torn booth seats and the need for a spruce up with paint and deep cleaning!!! They are charging prices that are on the higher side for sure....well, why wouldn't they put some of that money into the upkeep of the place?? This shocks me how an owner ignores these items that are seen every single day by patrons!
Pleasant experience with unlimited mimosas and unique brunch menu. Affordable and high quality bakery. The hours are limited and they take a while to get you those mimosas but for $15, I guess you get what you pay for. I got the banana bread French toast and would eat it every day.
