Jax Diner, Weavers Corner, N. Fort Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
The food. Pot Roast, with green beans, mashed potatos/gravy and cornbread ( cornbread a southern thing) 10.50 ( NOTE... They only accept CASH...no checks, no credit card or debit cards)
The green beans are cooked with bacon/onions. mmmm, pot roast, just fork fall apart and plenty of mash taters with gravy. Lets not forget the southern addition of cornbread.
A wonderful comfort foods.
Then to top it off . A Malted vanilla shake to go.
Service is excellent and attentive.
Well I have revisited Jax. You still need to pay with cash , no plastic or other forms of imaginary currency.
The staff is still top notched. Helpful and delightful.
Food is home style ,home made , in house ....I had fried chicken ,real mash potatoes and country gravy. But I must say I was not too thrilled with the biscuit this time. Not sure if it was me or the cook had a off day. Oh yes this is another place that makes it own sweet tea. It was great.
So if in the market for good basic american food at a reasonable price drop on in and enjoy.
Whatever you do…..get the homemade biscuit and homemade strawberry jam! It is to die for. It’s such a great spot. Food is absolutely delicious and the servers are so attentive and nice. Makes you feel right at home. I’ll be dreaming of that biscuit and jam combination for months to come!
What a wonderful surprise! This place should be on Route 66... authentic decor, great wait staff who go above and beyond 😀 and the food was real homemade, delicious and fairly priced. We will be regular customers!
I love diner food! And I love to take my granddaughters out for brunch on Sundays! I'm from Philly, and when I need to refresh one of my Philly favorites I go to JAX for scrapple and eggs!!! A healthy serving, perfectly fried along side perfect over-medium fried eggs! Everything the kids have ordered, from breakfast to lunch have had no complaints. 4 stars because they do not accept credit/debit cards.
The biggest Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Needs more pickles though. Good food but bring cash because they don't accept credit or debit cards. Breakfast ends at noon.
I love this place. It is a total throw back! Their Fries are to die for. Be sure to order yourself some FRIES!
OHH..did I mention that I like their fries.
I love old diners for breakfast and this is definitely one of those. I sat at the counter and since I’m trying to drop a few pounds opted against the biscuits and gravy. A place like this always has great biscuits and gravy. My server was awesome, waiting on every customer by herself until some relief came at 9. Delicious food and reasonably priced. A full breakfast plate and coffee for about $10.
The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the location in a sketchy part of town in a sketchy strip mall.
We ended up here for breakfast, not knowing the diner even existed. I'm so grateful we did! Great food, great service, and super sweet decor & atmosphere. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be a regular. Thank you for such a good experience, Jax Diner.

Stopped by because of the reviews and was not disappointed! I got the turkey sandwich special of the day and it was filled with turkey! Very friendly staff and nice diner. Will definitely be back again soon!
Typical "greasy spoon" but the specifics on how we wanted food cooked was nailed. Made it better than could be expected. Well done!
