This is my "Cheers". Nothing keeps someone coming back like a person connection with the staff. The staff go out of their way to know their customers. I have seen them remember seasonal visitors the next year. Food is more to the bar food side, bit is great. Never a bad meal in the five years I have been going here. Can't imagine not having it around.

A Gem. This restaurant is by the same owner of La Casita, the purple Mexican Restaurant a few miles up the road on McGregor.
Most people I know, affectionately refer to this restaurant as "The Grill" or "The McGregor Grill".
I've been going there for about three or four years now. Almost weekly. The place hits a perfect balance. The restaurant itself is spotless, the kitchen is for the most part open, and the bar dominates the front of the restaurant. Up until around 7 or 8 there are a lot of older customers taking advantage of the great prices and good food. After that they start to leave a younger crowd sometimes shows up. They serve food till 1AM, alcohol till 2. The restaurant is quaint and comfortable, and not loud, perfect place to hang out and place some Buzztime Trivia.
The food on the menu is typical american-restaurant food, done right. For example, on more than one occasion I've ordered the buffalo chicken tenders to see the cook come out and fill his batter with yeungling from the tap. The sandwiches and salads are massive, and the prices very reasonable. The owner knows how to make his guests happy, and you can tell he knows good food.

I’m so sorry it’s taken me this long to post a review! If you’re thinking about catching a bite here, don’t think “DO IT!” We were told about The Grill a year ago…. and since our first visit we’ve been coming to enjoy at least 3 times a month! Everything from their amazing nachos to their grill pork chops! Their salads, sandwiches & burgers! Everything had literally been fantastic and the service is great! So next time you want to know you’re in good hands with your culinary experience, give The Grill a try, you won’t be sorry & you can thank me later! Ciao!
I went to the grill for my first time and it was welcoming. I order the Alfredo pasta and fried calamari. The Alfredo was good, but a bit too oily for me. Same with the calamari. Overall, I would still recommend others to come here for the Alfredo pasta since it was cheesy on top.
Food is great and reasonably priced. Server was friendly and the food came out quickly. Plus kitchen is open until 1 am. Rare for this area (Iona) Definitely going back.
Best bar in this part of fort Myers. Todd and Anthony take great care of myself and my crew. Drinks are served very quickly and they’re always cold. The food is honestly phenomenal. You wouldn’t think too much of the location. It’s the experience that’ll keep you coming back. Thank you Grill. I’ll be back tomorrow.
Love the food here, my place to go if I don't want to cook! Never had a bad meal here and love giving staff a hard time, they are great!
Super good food and the bartender Clark I think his name was was super friendly. We ate delicious and had a blast!!
Restaurant was full when we arrived, they had us a table within a very short time. Very complete menu which is well prepared. Received our food in an acceptable time. They have done a good job in giving the dinning a little bit of character.
