We loved the food and friendly staff! The brussel sprouts were amazing, (I normally dislike them with a passion), crunchy, with a hint of lemon. The sandwiches were super crunchy, buttery and gooey in the middle. The garlic fries were amazing; the roasted garlic and parsley were a nice touch. We will definitely be back!
We walked in not knowing what to expect. What we found was a fun new restaurant concept. Grilled cheese comfort food and much more. You order and pay at the front; and servers deliver your food. The sweet tea is amazing (Tractor brand tea from Iowa). We ordered the red, white and blue special for $10 which included a four cheese grilled cheese sandwich cooked perfectly, tomato soup and a pickle. Steven the owner was charming and determined to ensure your experience at The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen is memorable. Large screen televisions, endless drinks and a friendly staff make this place perfect for couples, families and friends. They offer a large menu and breakfast. The fries looked yummy. We will be back.

Great selection of grilled cheeses sandwiches, soup, salads and even breakfast. Excellent selection of drinks. Service was a little slow. Items on menu were already not available at 1:00 on a Friday: Tomato Soup and Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese.
First time ever going here, nice atmosphere, really good sandwiches. The garlic fries were amazing and perfectly seasoned. Also try the creme soda they sell, very good!
We just ate here for the first time, it was outstanding! Unique & delicious! Service was fantastic and friendly. We will be back!
We stumbled across them for St. Patty’s day at the Millennial Brewery. They had a tent set up for the events and let us know about their main location off 6 Mile. We opted for the “Banger Grilled Cheese” and it did not disappoint! We really hope they are able to open back up soon so that we can continue to enjoy their tasty grilled cheese sandwiches ❤️
New to the area and ordered curbside!
Had I known they had such a fierce selection of craft beers on draft and in can along with wine and seltzer, I would have dined in. We ordered two cobb salads and 3 different sandwiches - the sandwiches were all delicious. And we can't wait to try them all on the menu! The Cobb salads have a pickled onion on them that has a burst of flavor mimicking floral or cinnamon notes? I don't know, but I tell you- just order it. The Maple Brussels sprouts are caramelized to perfection and the garlic aoili is good on everything. Their employee Jessica was a gem. Will be back for more of her fantastic service and many orders in the future.
I am from out of town and my sister took me there last week.,,.LOVED IT!!! The grilled cheese was perfect, the fries were great, and the Brussels sprouts were INCREDIBLE; best I have ever had! The owner, Stephen, was lots of fun and a great asset! Too bad he is a Cubs fan (I am a Cardinal fan!!)
We went back this week and had another excellent lunch! Jeremy was super fun too!

Came here for lunch due to the promise of divine grilled cheese. Grilled cheese and cheese curds were very good. Marinara was a delicious add on to cheese curds. Only complaint was the staff. They were nice, but disappeared when I wanted to order more food. Found them both in the back room on their phones, not even looking at the dining room. Had to ring a bell for service. Not a super big deal, just inconvenient. Overall, would recommend to those in the area.
I ordered from this place yesterday for delivery. I ordered directly from the website and my food never came. However, the person working that day called the owner to try and figure out what happened. Shortly after, the owner himself called me from his home and had the staff remake and personally deliver my order. They threw in some muffins as well. The owner has been in constant contact with me letting me know what was going on with my refund and trying to figure out what happened with the delivery service. I feel like most owners would not put in the amount of time and effort this man has to rectify a situation. The food is good so I’m glad he put forth the effort to fix a bad experience. I would recommend this place for many reasons.
