I was really shocked to find this place in downtown Fullerton! The area is really cute and you can walk around and shop. There is plenty of parking in the back and that is where you will find the front entry . The entrance off the main street opens into the bar but for seating on holidays - check in is at the back.
Anyway..we came here on St Patty's day in the late afternoon. The wait wasn't too bad and the decor was perfect for a traditional Irish pub. The menu was limited and pricey for the holiday..but that's to be expected, I think. The wait staff was awesome and so helpful even though it was packed to the gills and super loud!
Great irish music playing and the food was excellent. Good beer choices, super strong Irish coffee and a nice space too. I'd go here any day of the year but it was a great St Patty's Day treat and my 96 y.o. Irish Nana approved in full!
I come here every Sunday the service is good. There is usually a good game on the screen and for 12 dollars for a pitcher of Guinness, who can beat that kind of good time.
Great place to watch sports! We came in to watch the US vs. Trinidad/Tobago match. The crowd was small but energetic - a little snotty, but it was okay. This is a pretty big pub - a great space for a group.
We were pleasantly surprised by the food. I had some great clam chowder. The table next to us had "Irish Nachos", which were spiralized potatoes with nacho toppings like guacamole, sour cream and jalapenos - they devoured them and I was very jealous. They looked really good.
Full bar with a great selection of whiskeys, Irish and otherwise. Service was very good. I would come here to watch another match if I'm in town.
Drinks are tasty, service was great. The food portions are quite large, so sharing is advised! Able to handle large groups 👍.
I had the chicken tenders and a whiskey sour and they were amazing.
Good food. Good service. Good football 🏈
The drinks are stiff, and the food delish. This is a sleeper in Downtown Fullerton for sure. I've DJ'd here several times and the crowds were lively and fun. The staff is friendly and cool. During the day they have a full menu, during the week there are plenty of themed nights, drink specials and more if you're in need of a happy hour fix. With a little more promotion and consistent/resident DJs this could be the next OC hotspot without a doubt. The vibe is there. Branagan's isn't your typical "Irish Pub". Highly recommend you pay them a visit, anything else and you're doing yourself a disservice.
Great Bangers and Mash and cold dark beer.
Great food, very wide range bar, serves and bar tenders are very polite. Been going here for years. Best pub I've been to.
Very friendly bartender, very attentive. Food a bit pricey but good. Drinks are amazing.
Cool venue. Ok priced drinks. Live music.
No pool tables but did have darts.
