Pirates Kitchen

Pirates Kitchen is a new Cajun-style seafood restaurant making its debut walking distance from Cal State Fullerton. Large selection of shellfish steamed and then tossed with your choice of sauce. Good selection of appetizers, 12 beers on tap, sodas, wine, cocktails. We started with the Brussel Sprouts (dark roasted and slightly crispy, a favorite at the table), calamari (lightly breaded, tender meat, served with way-above-average tartar and cocktail sauce) and elote (ok, but not on a par with the other dishes). For a main course we opted for seafood by the pound so we could mix and match the flavors. The combos are a better price, but only once choice of sauce. Shrimp, clams, crawfish, and snow crab with the lemon pepper, garlic butter, and Hot PK Sauces. Added in some potatoes and corn on the cob in the bag (because these always make for great sauce delivery) and rounded it out with a helping of garlic bread. Our server Aubree was very attentive, was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and make recommendations. While this is common for venues that have been around a while, it was a level of service not often found in a restaurant's first week. Pirates Kitchen is a welcome addition for those of us who have been missing Cajun Swamp. We will definitely be going back.

best place for Cajun food. I was so craving Cajun food but have no car to go get it. Once I heard this place open up near csuf, I was super excited. Taste of food is over average and interior design is also good. Services are nice enough. Recommend shrimp pack with PK sauce.

They have the friendliest service and thevfreshest fish i had in a very long time thank you for everything my husband and i will be back .Often 👍
