If this area had a food place that would make you want to come back to visit, this would be the spot. I found this place while searching yelp to find something to eat for dinner. We were driving all evening from Virginia Beach so we wanted something quick.
When we walked inside, the bright colors and kind words welcomed us. I didn't know what I wanted so I said forget it.. I'll get a burrito. It was cool that they had a sign at the restaurant to help with ordering. It broke down the different meats and the different types of food. It made it easier.
I ended up getting the burrito combo with steak. Instead of chips, I replaced them with the beans and rice. The burrito was good, but let's talk about these beans and rice. I .. I wish I had more.
If in the area, I will def be back.
These Tacos are really good! 2nd best to Taco Bar in Rio. Tacos are kind of small vut they add a hefty portion of meat and they even have a toppings bar. They're customer service is great.
Come for the food not the ambiance. The food was so good. We looked up "hole in the wall" places, and this came up. It's not a hole in the wall, but definitely more of a "to go" place. Wife and I sat there and ate. The owner was VERY friendly and the service was great for the kind of place it was. He explained all the menu items they had and I must say, it was all delicious.
The torta was amazing, my first time having it. Wife had the chicken, steak and chorizo tacos. All was great. Then, we had sopes..first time for both of us and they were amazing.
The food here is top notch, very fast and reasonably priced.

Quick, humble and courteous service is what you will get here at TorTacos. I was introduced to this place by my good friends at No Sleep Tattoo Studio and I have not gone to any other taco joint since. The lengua (beef tongue) is on point.
Definitely recommend this taco spot for any taco lover in the area.
My second time coming to this little restaurant. I had 2 tacos de lengua and a fish taco which were excellent. It's near Lake forest Mall in Gaithersburg and it's definitely the right place if you're in the mood for some tacos. They have other options like quesadillas, burritos, bowls, etc. It's not usually busy, and they serve you pretty quickly.
Authentic tortas! We were in the area, looking for a quick option and saw tortas on this menu. I'm from out west and don't come across tortas in the DC area often. I got the al pastor and both the meat and the bread were on point! So happy we discovered this spot and we'll definitely be back if we're in the area again.

I had a fantastic experience ordering from this location. I was ordering for a 30 person event, catering to vegans, vegetarians, meat-eaters, and adventurous and non-adventurous eaters. They were able to accommodate our group on short notice, and were extremely prompt with pick-ups. They were even able to recommend items based on all of these different food needs - which was incredible! Not to mention the food was extremely enjoyable. The aroma in our office inspired a lot of interest and even though people ate a lot, we still had leftovers. I work for a non-profit, so sticking to budget was important. Tortacos went above and beyond - even carrying the food to my car with me and boxing up every single salsa with a lot of consideration and care. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism of the staff, the quality of the food and the pricing and catering ability of this place. I can't wait to come back!
love their tacos. Tasty. The marinated pork and beef tongue are my favorite.
