I visited my relatives in Gaithersburg and they were very eager to take me to CPK. After visiting this outlet I came to know why they were insisting. Amazing experience! The location is perfect, on the lake. Sitting arrangements are very good and staff is very friendly. We ordered Tomato Basil soup, Lettuce Wraps, Thai Crunch Pizza. Lettuce Wraps are must try here. I loved the Thai crunch pizza too, something different than other pizza outlets.
Love their Vegie options. Highly recommend the Sedona Tortilla soup. The half sandwich + soup / salad lunch bundle is worth the money. On the downside: Home delivery is expensive.

I hadn't been here in years, but we decided to try it for date night because we liked some of the options we saw. My lady friend also told me about the "Butter Cake" which did not disappoint! We entered via the Takeout door and we were seated promptly. Then we met Jimmy who welcomed us as if old friends and provided his recommendations upon request. I got the Salmon and she had the Bolognese pasta. He was very friendly and provided feedback on our possible choices for food. This was extremely helpful. We also had some delicious drinks. He brought us bread while we waited. He also was very attentive and checked on us periodically throughout our visit. This was definitely excellent service all around. The atmosphere was nice and not too crowded. The food was hot and fresh. The service was stellar. Thank you Jimmy. We'll be sure to come back and ask for you. It's refreshing to see people still trying to give great customer service during such a rough time, but it's people like Jimmy that make us want to return. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this place, but this was a great reminder!
Despite California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) being a chain restaurant, it is a GREAT chain restaurant. To say the least. The service and food here is of quality.
My go to dishes include the garlic fettuccini with chicken, or shrimp. The creamy and soft texture of the pasta when it first comes out reminds me of a home cooked meal. Very flavorful, and authentic; how it should be.
Dumplings and of course the pizza is included in my top 3 choices.
Many chain restaurants don’t offer a rewards program, but at CPK they have a very rewarding rewards program for loyal regular customers. If you’re thinking about coming here while visiting the RIO waterfront. I suggest you do so, you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed. Your wallet may be though.
I was craving CPK for awhile. Saturday night date - guests were finishing up their food as the restaurant was about to close within the hour. Bummer as they were (86) out of egg rolls… so the second option was spinach artichoke dip. As for the service: my date and I had to remind our server for items we requested on multiple occasions and never asked for refills. I wanted to order dessert to go, but our server asked us if we wanted our check due to the restaurant being closed. The food saved the night: hot spinach dip with crispy chips, fresh out of the oven pizzas.

Good food and service. Hostess was a little gruff but all else was fine. Tomato soup and split pea soup were excellent. Caesar salad was very good. My wife had a vegetarian salad that she enjoyed. Was a little surprised that two half salads and cups of soup were so expensive. No drinks except water and bill was around $60.00.
This was an AMAZING experience. I started off drinking a mock tail called the pacific thyme and it was so good and I would go back for it again. Then my group and I shared two pizzas one margarita and the other was a bbq chicken pizza. The cheese pull was magnificent and tasty! Everything about this trip to California pizza kitchen was amazing. Most definitely coming back to this location!
Salad is really good, pizza is great. My wife loves the noodle she ordered,thai inspired i think. Just took time for us to have a server but we got a good one so im grateful!
Original BBQ pizza is amazing. I added avocado as extra on top and it was perfect.
Great pizza and sangria. The service was also top notch. Chose this as it was close to our hotel - Courtyard Marriott in Gaithersburg, MA. Love that there is so much in walking distance.
We had a pleasant & memorable experience at CPK, Gaithersburg last weekend for a birthday celebration. Our server, Ms. Laani was attentive & Managers, Mr. Doug & Mr. Williams were super helpful. Mr. Williams took extra care to prepare a meal for one of the guests in our large group, who has allergies, and brought the dish to the table himself! The entire experience was memorable and we will consider CPK for our next special occasion/celebration.
