Definitely a great place to go to and I see why they’ve been around since 1976. After a visit to the aquarium, my family and I took my nephew here for lunch on his 3rd birthday. What can I say the kid loves seafood and the place did not let us down. The service was fantastic, the food was seasoned, establishment was clean, and everything was bundled properly. The batter used on the food was seasoned and the food was fresh. I will say the sweet tea is not sweet or maybe it was a mishap and they forgot to add in the sugar. The sweet potato fries could use a little kick to them. But they’re fish tacos, shrimp, and onion rings…wow! I took a thing of gumbo home and it was a still wonderful warmed up. The restaurant offers outside seating which we will have to utilize next time. This is a must visit spot!
We came on a not-too-busy Friday night. It took a while to order since some employees were towards the back chatting and on their phones. The fried catfish was good, but the fries and boudin balls were lacking (/mid). We read good reviews and were excited to try it out, but we were a little disappointed in the quality of service and the food itself.
I don’t think we would come back to this location, but I would be curious to see if the other location is significantly different than this one.
Shrimp N Stuff should be on the MUST visit list for Galveston. We went twice on our weekend trip because it was so delicious. Add a cup of gumbo as an upcharge side to the shrimp po'boy!
Wow. This was delicious. Cody at the register helped us through the menu since it was our first time here. He recommended the Seafood platter to split, and it was so delicious. The portions are amazing and we left full, fat and sassy.
Sitting outside was nice, a gentle breeze under a nicely shaded patio area. Definitely recommend this to friends local or visiting! Get the stuffed shrimp!
First time for me to give all 5 ⭐ to any business. I'm not a big fan of seafood , at all.. With that being said , this place is the BOMB! The shrimp gumbo is hot and delicious. Has plenty of shrimp in it and plenty of flavor. I've had the coconut shrimp and plain fried shrimp. The plain shrimp is awesome. I don't like coconut at all , but the shrimp was good with their (marmalade looking) dipping sauce. The place itself is nice and cozy. Friendly staff. Has a covered patio with fans and plenty of shade to you can enjoy eating outside. And I think they even have an upper deck to go eat on. I will definitely be making trips here for gumbo. This gumbo is probably the best I've tried , even during my time in Louisiana.... It's GOOD ! And it was only $10 for a pint of gumbo and a drink.... You CANT beat that deal......
Excellent service and excellent food! Huge shoutout to Cody!! That man knows his stuff! It's definitely a local joint you'd miss. I will be sure to stop by again next time.

We discovered this gem on a last-minute long weekend in 2012. We don't get to Galveston as often as we'd like but this is a must stop for us.
We love the food but love the character of the old building.
The spicy red potatoes are a MUST!
So this is one of the local minimalist awesome seafood places. Order the eight piece coconut shrimp, with 3 boudain balls hush puppies for both sides, with a cup of the shrimp gumbo as the $3 add-on side. There is no atmosphere. There's a room for you to sit and rub all of the awesome seafood on your face. Great value for a seafood hankering.
Great tasting food here. The only issue is the size of their gumbo bowls. Their bowls should be their cup size.
Pops and Cody were some of the nicest people we met on the island. The food was super good and the service was out of this world. We went to this establishment 2 days in a row and we were amazed every time. It feels like visiting family when you come in. It is now one of our favorite spots we will frequent whenever we get the chance. The crab balls and gumbo were really good as well.
