Who would have thought a small joint inside a Velero gas station could be so great?! Incredible, large, tasty burgers! Fries are seasoned, onion rings are huge and battered (spicy batter, salty), and the shrimp pot boy was great too! Love that they offer an egg on the burger too! Onion rings on the burger was too much (better to just get them as a side).
One of the best burgers i’ve ever eaten in my life. Good and fresh, good and hot, good vibes and service. Do not miss out on this beast. Will be back over and over again
Really good onion rings! The burger could have used a little more seasoning but was good overall, nice and fresh. The cherry dump cake was very flavorful (and a nice surprise, I haven't had a dump cake in years). The staff was friendly and moved quickly. It's located inside a convenience store, so seating is limited. Definitely going back to try the meatloaf.
Funny enough, this ended up being my favorite place we ate at in Galveston on our vacation. I randomly found it based on reviews as it was not planned at all. I got the shrimp po boy and it did not disappoint! Very delicious, crispy, and a large portion. My wife got the burger with onion rings and she enjoyed it a lot. My kids for the grilled cheese and fries; no complaints. The lady's cooking in the kitchen were very nice and patient with us newcomers. Just a heads up that this is inside of a gas station with three or so tables. Not a ton of room to eat but it was fine for our family. I will come back for sure.
I walked in with my father and my sister, we all had a great time here! The food we had was impeccable, we had the “Family Style” Chicken Tenders, they were full of flavor and were very fresh! The ladies running the counter were very nice and I’m very glad we came here, you’d never expect such flavorful food from a restaurant in a gas station, definitely a hidden treasure!
My friend said he heard on the radio that this the best burger on the island. He said he'd been back three times and still believes it's the best he's ever had. (And he's a retired international airline pilot.) So we decided to try it today. This place definitely lives up to the hype. They'll customize. Try the fresh-battered-in-the-store-today onion rings. Don't expect ambiance. It's a convenience store. Expect a GREAT classic American hamburger.

Absolutely the best patty melt I've ever had. The fries are very good, but not nearly as special as the sandwich.
Yeah this place is a hidden gem for burgers in Galveston. Save big $$ from name brand chains or places on the seawall that are selling an inferior product for more. This place is great. Big menu and good service. Would suggest calling in for pickup but didn’t mind waiting
Hands down the best burgers and fries and hand dipped onions rings on the island! Add in the amazing customer service that the girls provide and you will have yourself a great meal! The prices are amazing as well, especially for the island!
