A hidden gem in Downtown Galveston .A full bar with a great selection of different scotches, spirits, bottled beer, and draft beer. Great food. The staff Christine(host), Jarett (bartender), Michael (server) were very energetic and highly attentive. There are many different areas of the bar that were interesting including the patio, the cigar Lounge, and the game room. The selection of different things to do at prohibition Reds is exciting. I will definitely be planning an event here sometime throughout the year if not two or three times. Fresh ideas is exactly what this island needs. The owner David Robertson greeted me and was very professional and polite. I think this bar will last and I hope it is super successful. Great Job!
Prohibition Red's has this unique feel and character to it that really adds to downtown Galveston, and that's not even including the great food and cocktails they serve. The bar itself is over 10 years old - built in 1920! Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere.
Get the fried green beans for your appetizer, you won't be disappointed.
If you are on Galveston, do your taste buds a favor and order the Chargrilled Pork Chop and the G-Town Cosmo! It comes with Lyonnaise Potatoes and sauteed spinach. I always just get fries. The staff is super professional and friendly
Did the Escape Room. Had a great time with the CTA group. First team to make it out in time. The holiday drinks were unique and tasty. Want to come back to eat.
Happy hour is wonderful with $6 signature cocktails and a nice assortment of small plate to choose from. Bacon wrapped artichokes for the win! Casual and inviting atmosphere; my favorite meeting up place!
This place is everything awesome about Galveston. It's full of history and charm. It used to be a brothel.
I would rate this 10 stars if that were an option. The restaurant is in a historical building, welcoming with authentic detail. The staff were attentive and polite. Our appetizers were delicious (we enjoyed the fried green beans and guacamole with warm chips). The appetizers were good sized and very easily shared. I ordered a shrimp entree, salad and roasted Brussels sprouts. The shrimp was spicy and plump- absolutely delicious! The Brussels sprouts were crispy and delicious, as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Staff was super friendly and helpful, drinks were amazing, and the food was good. The live music was awesome great song choices and at an appropriate volume level. It was nice to be able to enjoy the music and still have a conversation with someone with out having to scream, very intiment atmosphere. They also have a pool table and board games plus a fun and cute history behind the bar. Cant wait to go back with friends and family!
Great food and our server was wonderful! We had one of the private rooms upstairs to celebrate a birthday party. It was a great size for our group of 12 and the service was very attentive despite having to come up the stairs every time! We will definitely be back!
