Great little gem that felt hidden away. I went after a friend recommended the place and I was not let down. They even have a pretty decent wine selection. On Wednesday they have a special for any wine, $5 a glass. The food has most local Mexican restaurants beat hands down but the food want the only reason to go. The staff was friendly and attentive. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is consistently good..I mean, very good. The margaritas are the best I ever had, for a price that you will not find anywhere around Austin. Erica, the waitress has provided us the best service I've experienced. My family and I look forward every week to go to La Playa.
We were really surprised at how good the food was here. It's a mom & pop place which is great but the decor made us wonder if the food would be good. It's AMAZING!!! I had the Chipotle enchiladas and they were SO good! Definitely give them a try. They also have live music on the weekends.
This Mexican American Food has a great set of Owners. I look forward to tasting their menu's. I'll be going to test it out for Valentine's Day meal I hope. I also hear they have made up flavor Margaritas during holiday's. The next flavors going to pucker my lips!! Can hardly wait. I've ate many places but this place has a great set of workers and great locations. I can hardly wait to try it and re-rate and give another review. Everyone please go here for your next holiday! You won't regret it!!!!

First time here. We ate a late lunch and the restaurant was not too crowded. The margarita on the rocks, salt, that I had was perfect in strength and taste. Our food was fresh and prepared as requested (no cheese on my companion's). I would go again.
