Now THIS is a great burrito. I've had a lot of burritos in my day and the one I had here was especially superb.
I ordered the original size Javelina burrito with medium heat (spiciness level). To be honest, it was relatively spicy, so I would not recommend to top spice level unless you are crazy. Very, very deliciously fully-loaded burrito.
The chips and salsa were average in my opinion. They were overly crunchy and the salsa was okay.
Overall the restaurant ambiance was great. Because it was a nice day, all of the wall-doors were open.
Good to know they serve breakfast all day on sundays but every other day they stop at 11 am, unfortunately we were there on a Saturday after noon so missed out on bfast. I liked my Bloody Mary, the burrito was solid and I’d be very curious to try the other varieties on the menu. The vibe was great too for a hot summer day.
Super fun vibe, yummy burritos and an awesome outdoor covered patio. Really glad we stopped in here for lunch while passing through Golden. Fun, funky and SPICY!
The staff was excellent and super friendly. They never broke a sweat even with it being extremely busy during breakfast. Our order came out fast and was delicious we each a taco and shared bowl and everything was great.
Great burrito still, even after the last time I was here four years ago when they didn't have a storefront. Chupacabra Original burrito size can be split with two people, or one very hungry person.
Wouldn't recommend the margarita pitcher - it's only three drinks and way too much ice.

After hundreds of people told me to go here on TIKTOK (milehighfooddude) I decided to take the drive out to Golden to try it out. It's just a few miles down from the courthouse. Love the sign outside, giant "bonfire" can't miss it. Looked busy from the outside and it sure was. You have to form a line from the counter and it went to clear to the door. Lots of people waiting to hear their number called. There was electricity in the air and I could feel it. I ordered the Chupacabra which has bacon, sausage and chorizo and I got extra spicy. Decent wait but not overly so to where you get angry. They do a great job slinging burritos! Finally got mine abs headed to the car. This thing was hot! Temp and spice wise! Good crisp to the potatoes. Cheesy and gooey with just a slight crisp on the tortilla. Overall very good. Is it the best? That's debatable but definitely top 3. It's a good size but there's still something that doesn't feel right about paying almost $12 for just a burrito with no sides. Will be back when I'm in the area again.
They get an A+ for food portion size and local cool vibe atmosphere but I was expecting a little more flavor than what I got for the money and the hype. It was good but didn't make me think "YUM I'll be back" but don't let that stop you from trying it and forming your own opinion.
Bonfire Burritos are the perfect breakfast burritos! Especially before a day of skiing!
All of the ingredients are balanced so you can taste everything, even when you make substitutions. Each ingredient has good flavor too!
I really appreciate the two sizes because sometimes you just don't want as much and others you are stoked to devour the big burrito!
The service was incredibly quick and professional. The cashier also was savvy about the food enough to (respectfully) make recommendations about substitutions I was making on my burrito.
Overall, it was a great experience and I will both be back myself and recommend to other if they will listen!
